Training for the NY Marathon November 6. My 1st Marathon ;)
-
@MobyCarp-That's a great point!! That seems to be a huge problem for me. In a HM I go all out the first 8 and then I'm fizzling out and do not finish as strong as I intend to. I'm going to start using my watch more often to pace myself. TY!

I love all the responses to this post. @rrcoffey I could have written this same exact post on Sunday morning. I ran the Brooklyn HM on Saturday and I really wanted to PR but a lot of things got in the way of that happening including myself. The way I see it now is that I can only do better on my next race. Great Job!!

I know HH normally incorporates some cross training in the schedule so I would use this on those days.

Just started Alpha last Friday. I am using this as cross training from my normal training runs. Just completed my 3rd Half Marathon and jumped head first into this...holy ouchies! Today is the first day I don't feel like I'm going to die. Of course I'm behind (up do Day 4) so I have some catch up to do.

Thanks for sharing this! I am also a runner struggling with the balance. I'm working my way up to a reset. It's good to know that you can put on that much muscle without killing it with a ton of cardio ;) I too need to keep running...my sanity is worth it! lol

Thanks Heybales this makes much more sense to me! I'm just in the beginning of training and logging about 10-15 miles a week. Once the heavy training starts I'll switch to tracking this way.

I have been doing Weight Watchers for two years but alongside I've been doing…

This is my second week as well and I saw a 1.4 gain on my weekly WI. Sucked but better than the 6#'s I saw on Day 3. The fact that I can eat more makes it all worth it. I'm honestly doing it hoping to see some more inches melt off. So if the scale doesn't dip as much or as fast as I would like I'm ok with that. As soon…

I just switch my MFP to TDEE minus 10 since I have about 10 more pounds to get to goal. I pray that this gets me moving since I've been stuck since January. I also ate at 1200 for over 2 years so I know this is going to take a little longer to repair but in the long run it's going to be a healthy change. GL!

Love This! Starting in May.
