  • Thinking about it that way might help you keep it in perspective, because youre right- we dont get immediate reward. I wont get my paycheck today, even though I will be doing the work today. Weight loss isnt overnight and it doesn't happen in a steady decline. Keep expectations realistic :)
  • I agree, it does get better with time but the impatience is crazy difficult to manage. Its one of my biggest hurdles. To combat it, I just think about today. I know what the goal is, and as long as my steps take me closer and not farther away I should be happy. Its tough though, I feel for you!
  • I doubt its dangerous but the aspartame in Propel zero gives me a terrible headache every time so I prefer not to drink them. The grape one does taste amazing though.
  • The way this is worded, I agree! If it was more so "for MY health my husband and I decided that I should lose X pounds to try for another baby" hopefully that's how it actually happened! For me, I do not wish to have children. Weight loss is a part of it, but more so the after. Once Im through with this hard work and I get…
  • Jealous!! Its hard for people to see a person they know well change so much. Physically and your lifestyle. You're different, so they're noticing. Them noticing is showing THEM how they could do it too, they wonder why they havent, why can you succeed where they have failed, etc. I have put back on 50lbs right now but at…
  • I totally get what you mean, when you're used to large meals it can be unsatisfying on so many levels to eat small meals. I do something similar, but its a bit different and may help you lots! Here the meal you're "skipping" is lunch, but I skip breakfast. This way I can sip my coffee and tea or water all morning and then…
  • Having to constantly think about calories, food, deficits, steps, weighing myself and most of my food, syncing data, blah blah blah can get so tiring. I think to help combat this I'll have weekends that are totally preplanned out and prelogged on friday so I get a small break without actually skipping any of these…
  • Im also for a coincidence. Perhaps your body was in a little stall and you just happened to wait it out long enough and you wooshed through it :) I say congratulations!
  • I don't believe my menstruation burns any extra cals, nor any less. Keeping this belief takes a lot of complications out of the picture, why worry every month if you need to be eating less or eating more? I just try stay consistent.
  • The hardest for me is knowing how long its going to take.
  • Honestly I disagree. If a person truly has depression or anxiety issues its likely a chemical imbalance that needs to be remedied. For me antidepressants are a lifetime commitment to my mental health and I cant sing the praises of them enough for how much mine helps me. You can build tolerances to some medications but my…

  • Add me dear :) I have been 316lbs at my highest and lost 100, gained back half, and now Im right around 260 with at least 100 to lose again.
  • I've never met a low carb sugar ;)
  • I have always liked splenda but yeah Im one that hates the taste of stevia. I dont know what it is about it but I just can't stand it.

  • I think they're just pointing out that at some point the scale isnt going to be helpful to you in tracking your progression.
  • I find the blogilates chick too distracting, I enjoy finding Marnie Winsors' videos. She has lots of full body vids, many broken up into sections so you can pick and chose :) Just look up "winsor pilates" Shes low key but explains very well and I like that she gently encourages me to push through discomfort when moves get…
  • I refill the same bottle all day to make that a non issue for me :)
  • I would honestly move to maintenance if I had a broken bone. So whatever maintenance is for you, eat that. I just wouldn't focus on weight loss for the next few crucial weeks.
  • Im 5'7" and my goal currently is 150, but I figure I wont know for sure until I get closer.
  • At least 1 or 2. I eat in an IF way and only have two meals per day.
  • Ooh I could probably do that move against a wall with my foam roller. Thank you for your advice, I was just wondering what you'd meant by doing noting :) I will probably at least wait through the week, I wouldn't be able to go to a doctor until Monday with my schedule. I will keep on walking though :)
  • Agreed. I first tricked myself into thinking I was just a little sore from the activity but as that sorta faded I can tell this is probably not muscle related.
  • I sort of understand! I am a bit worried about babying it though, I have read (and seen demonstrated) that limiting mobility too much after a back injury can cause lots of problems down the road. Do you feel like doing "nothing" for an injury would entail as much rest as possible, or continuing daily activities to the best…
  • Thank you for the helpful response. Its good to know the meds dont help. I am sure I would get the same "here's some drugs" treatment!
  • I was mostly testing to see if anything made it feel better, Im not trying to do anything crazy I just wanted to illustrate where my injury might be. I know I'm not the only poor person ever but if a regular doctor would end up sending me to a chiropractor, I'd like to skip that step (and save 50 some bucks). Would my…
  • I believe you're undereating! For me dropping below about 1500 has me moody and extra tired.
  • My chilli is always meatless, I will use different styles of beans to give color and variety in what Im looking at! Mine ends up being in the 400cals per serving range when I make it. So it can certainly work, super customizable, make it fit your goals! Damn now I want to make chili for dinner....
  • I add two tablespoons of half and half to my coffee thermos in the morning. Working on getting to black I think. This is pretty close. I cut sweeteners a while ago!
  • Yep, youtube and fitness blender. You can find pilates, low impact cardio, HIIT when you're ready. I also love my wii fit and just dance games. Those are really move at your own pace ways to build some endurance and strength without over doing it or leaving the house. Also go on waks!
  • It would speed up if you got back on the rails! Get your calories back in check! Log and weigh everything. Re-dedicate yourself to your goal and you will see results. I over ate yesterday and today I'm not pleased to, but I'm just going to cut back extra today to make up for it. You just have to do what you need to do. You…
