I like banana nut oatmeal. I dont have a real recipe but I make it with milk and old fashioned oats, a ripe banana mashed in, some walnuts and maaaaybe a little honey. Mmmmm soo good! I may need to make some this weekend!

I thought I was the only one! I totally do the laundry trick :) *high five*

You know they came from everywhere right? Thats why you cant tell yet! But lordy yes I wish my body could talk back... I talk to it all the time.

I have always been blown away by the numbers my fitbit spits out for my dailu expenditure. But given my results, its very close to correct!! Yours probably is too, but maybe dont "eat back" all of the extra calories just to leave room for any errors. I never eat back more than half of my exercise calories.

Oh this just isnt true. A 1000 calorie per day deficit is how one can lose 2lbs per week. Totally doable. The poster has maintained a 1000cal deficit, not eaten 1000 calories. But some thing isnt right. Your logging may be off, your expenditure isnt as high as you think, or a combo of the two. A 1000 calorie deficit is…

I wish I could tell you that you will see what you want to tomorrow, but you might not! I expected to have dropped or at least stayed the same today, yet Im up 2lbs!! I almost threw in the towel for the day but I remembered this isnt a race, and my body knows more than me! Im guessing its retained water from a more intense…

I support all of this, you have to figure out why you binge before you can have a plan to stop. I found that 1400 calories a day wasnt enough, and now its a bit higher and I always allow myself a treat at the end of my dinner. Just mentally knowing I CAN have whatever I like helps me resist temptations at other times of…

Keep your routine! Your body knows what to do with excess water. Keep drinking your water and eating, the excess water will come out on its own. I think Im retaining 2lbs of excess water today because of some soreness inducing exercise. It happens :)

At my lowest I would probably have gone for them -_- I used to have to RUIN the food to avoid going in after it later.... Wow I have come so far!

See I dont use facebook for personal reasons, but I feel like I'm trying to make my feed kind of like a facebook page. I want my friends to know i see their successes and struggles and I try to comment on their posts often. I want to feel like there are people here who would notice if I stopped posting and would reach out…

I like your last sentence best: even if you dont hit 40lbs lost, look at how far you've come! You have learned so much about your own body and what you need to do to be successful. Keep on learning and growing, and maybe you'll have an even cooler goal for 2017!

Add me too! Honestly the best way not to forget is to always be on it. I pre log every morning but check my log before every meal. Honestly it sounds kinda crazy but I think about my goals all day. Everytime i look in the mirror I force myself to smile and make eye contact with myself (something low self esteem has always…

Honestly, you just start doing it. You know the basics, plan your meals for tomorrow. Read, a lot. I spend a ton of time on these forums and honestly its keeping me motivated just because everytime I hit a bump myself, I can see true and real experiences of others who have had the exact same struggle and made it through. I…

You are feeling vulnerable and those feelings will pass, but honestly this whole process is about bucking up and doing what you have to do. You practice, you fail, you'll end up missing a goal or two here and there but the key is to always keep trying. I can't tell you how many days like yours I've had over the past few…

I purposefully buy 100 calorie packs, and leave the box at home so all I have is one serving!

I shall keep my fingers crossed for mine then! I think now that we are cohabitating this time around on my weight loss journey I may influence him over time. We already eat out and order in a lot less, and my cooking for him is reducing his intake. Before i moved in he bought his breakfast from Burger King and lunch from…

Same here! If I can have a "big" satisfying meal in the evenings im just a happier person overall. Being happy makes it easier to get throughthe tough moments that need extra will power!

I opened a bag of jelly belly's to portion out and found by weight it had 2.25 servings. I used to divide the bag in half and call it good, so Im glad I measure now too!

Consider taking a week off to maintain. You keep logging, keep all your good habits just loosen the reigns a bit. That or switch up whatever you find most boring! Maybe you're bored eating the same foods. Or the same exercise routine. I also end up having a treat built into my day most of the time. I have struggled with…

When I find a video is too much for me, I either modify the move to something I can do with good form or take a break by marching in place. I figure with this method I will eventually be strong enough to finish it completely! There's also soooo many options on youtube. Sometimes I watch them through without following along…

Im itching for the 20k badge but 15k remains my highest. I need to get out there and try a little harder!!

This really depends on how hard you work. I can do my "normal" pilates routine daily. I judge this based on how my body feels. Yesterday I added one extra "workout" to the routine and today I cant do one single reverse leg lift without terrible form. I need a rest day! But only a rest from THAT activity. I'll probably…

Im making baked pork chops, pasta roni side dish noodles or potatoes au gratin, and a big green salad. I am excited to use these turkey meatballs I found at the store today. I'll make some pasta tomorrow and see if I can trick my boys into believing its beef+normal pasta (when i will have switched us to whole grain).

My man makes his own choices outside of our home but inside I do all the shopping! I buy him the cereal he likes for his snacky munchies but his lunches have balanced options. He eats what I cook for dinner, I cater to his tastes but I cook it so I can happily enjoy it too. You can lovingly let him know he doesn't have to…

I have had my Charge HR for a little less than a year. My only wish is that I had waited to buy it, because now there's a ton of color options! I find the numbers to be a little high (for calorie burn) but honestly I think I just forget how big I am sometimes. I love it, love using it. Just having it on makes me move more!

Right now my goal is set to 200lbs, but ultimately I want to get down to 180 before I decide where maintenance is for me. So thats nearly 60lbs to onederland, and I hope to do it in 6 mos or less. I have previously lost 100total pounds so I know my body can let it go pretty quick if I stick to my plan.

I have been practicing leaving one bite on the plate. Im usually already full but I have the same issue, I logged it so I gotta eat it! Leaving one bite goes against how I was raised so I see it as a baby step. I only bother leaving the bite if I already register that Im full.
-
I definitely work treats in!! I have a bar of dark chocolate I'm purposefully not eating over the next few days so that I can nom as needed once my period starts making me more emotional than logical.
-
I log it, and I probably log it at a little higher than it should be but that's fine with me. I drink one big 16oz thermos with 2tbsps of half and half each work day. It does end up replacing a meal most mornings.

Just remember the weight didnt all drop from your waist/legs! Your arms, chest, insides, face, etc all lost some too.
