I'm almost 24 and have spent the years constantly trying to get my weight under control. I was a chunky kid, a fat teen, and in high school I went on WW with my Mom and lost 40 pounds. In college I lost an additional 20 with MFP but I eventually gained it all back, so I'm back for round 3. I recommend calorie counting to…

yogurt and almonds or granola! cottage cheese and cashews or fruit! scrambled or hardboiled eggs.

I'm 5'1'', around 180 atm, goal weight of 132.

it definitely sounds like she's not eating enough. I have the same problems if I workout too hard some days and don't eat enough to compensate. I wake up the next morning with a headache and elevated heart rate, and kinda shaky, kinda like I've been running a marathon all night. since she is sedentary right now TDEE-20%…

going to add you both! I still have 61 to go but 49 will put me at a healthy BMI.
-
when did you do your weigh in compared to when you binged?
-
that's incredible! congratulations!
-
I have done both and found MFP much easier, plus it's free, but I was very successful with both. I've also found MFP forums to be much more informative than the WW meetings ever were.

Go to the user's profile and hit the "add friend" button.

what do you need advice about?

I got the implant two Novembers ago, started losing weight last August, and I'm down 35 pounds.
-
count me in! I still have 61 to go.

since she's 300+ pounds a lot of it could be water weight. big drops are common in the beginning for people with a lot to lose. how safe it is depends on what she's doing to lose the weight, which I'm guessing you don't know.

go back to Tumblr.

MFP uses BMR calculations not TDEE.
-
go here to figure out your TDEE. TDEE-1000 calories every day should mathematically result in a 2 pound loss per week, TDEE-500 calories every day will result in 1 pound loss per week, but you should not eat below your BMR.
-
tip: don't expect to lose 64 pounds in 20 weeks. you are setting yourself up for failure.
-
eat what you want but make sure to count it. there are no magic foods or pills or supplements. calories are the most important.
-
are you staying properly hydrated? if so and if you're consistently hungry I would really consider upping your calories, maybe set your goal to lose 1 pound a week if you're currently at 2, or perhaps cut back on how often or how long you run. there's no reason to stay miserable.
-
let's be friends! I also started with a lot to lose. 35 down and 61 to go.
-
feel free to add me! I started with 96 pounds to lose so you can do it, too! and maybe take the time to fill out some of your profile information. people are less likely to add users with blank profiles.

ugh, exactly what I was thinking! exercise outside if you must but don't go to the gym and give it to everyone else.
-
I just bought Special K Protein Plus cereal and it tastes ok. 120 cals per 3/4 cup with 10 grams of protein.
-
too funny!
-
how long has your weight stayed the same? have you recalculated your calorie goals to reflect your current weight?
-
oh! yeah, you'd have to do the math for that yourself.
-
there sure is! go to reports > choose a report > net calories
-
work on planning your entire day out ahead of time. you will be less inclined to overeat since you will know exactly what and how much you're going to eat.
-
hello! I'll send you a request. any other beginners needing friends can add me also! I'm almost 24 and I'm down 35lbs since August with another 61 to go.
-
are you losing more than 2 pounds per week, on average? if not, then I wouldn't be concerned. MFP's calorie estimates are usually way higher than they should be, so you're likely not really burning as much as it thinks you are and 13-1500 a day sounds pretty reasonable. it's not as if you're starving yourself. listen to…
