  • I'm really liking the JNL Fusion workouts. She combines cardio w/ strength and the workouts are very effective. Restarting the program on Monday. Good luck! Also, Les Mils's Body Pump is awesome too!
  • I have gotten mostly rid of mine by lifting weights, lots of squats w/ weights, dead lifts, kick boxing workouts such as Turbo Fire or Body Combat. Takes time, but when you build lean muscle, the appearance diminishes significantly. I don't have any on my thighs at all anymore, just a little on my bum. Also, eating a…
  • I have both the Polar FT7 & the M4 and the Polar FT7 is much better. I lose HR when I do certain exercises with my M4 and it drives me crazy. In my opinion, the FT7 is easier to use and much more reliable. Hope this helps!
  • My mother suffers from depression and one of the things that helped her is to exercise. Yes, it's true, regular exercise changes your brain's chemistry. I'm not just saying that because this is a fitness site, but there is research that supports that people suffering from depression are helped by regularly exercising. The…
  • Keep doing what you're doing...Cardio and strength training is key as well as eating well. Try staying away from processed foods and try to eat as cleanly as possible. This is what worked for me...be patient it will come :~) Good luck
  • Oh, you can get it from any sports store like Academy, D*ck's (MFP thinks this word is naughty) or Sports Authority (assuming you have one where you live) or you can buy online in - Amazon sells it.
  • YES!!!! It helps me tremendously. I get terrible shin splints and I also have bursitis in my right knee and the pain is minimal to gone when I use this tape. I put it on every time I am going to do any plyo/high impact type workouts. Also provides great support. Highly recommend it! Tip: Key is in the stretch. You can go…
  • Absolutely!! Even at the health food stores...I have found ingredients that are so bad for you even in some of the "healthy" packaged foods. Always, always read labels
  • I have the same issue with bread, rice, & pastas. I have to be careful, but as far as the bread goes...I found Ezekial 4:9 100% sprouted whole grain bread to be the only bread I can eat that does not have that effect on me. This was recommended by a nutritionist and is low on the glycemic index. Good Luck!
  • It was kind-of depressing at first, for me being a woman. When my husband didn't care, I became at peace with it. I'm lucky my husband loves me no matter what, big boobs or small boobs
  • Was getting shin splints as well and I was told that as much as I workout, I have probably used up the life of my shoe. It was also recommended to me to wear skins/compression calf tights (just ones that come to the knee) as this will help and alleviate pain with the shin splints. Advil and rest also help. Good luck
  • Will be training in a couple of months for Tough Mudder Dallas for October 2013!
  • This exact thing happened to me and taking pro-biotics got rid of it. I did not add milk to my protein shake, so I attribute it to the Whey already in my protein powder. Good luck!
  • I am on the third book. I purchased it to see what all the buzz was about and when I began to read the first book, I was a little shocked at how detailed the book was. Had to put the book down for a while, but then went back and then had to purchase the 2nd and then the third. I am almost half way done with 50 Shades of…
  • I was a cherry coke/cherry pepsi addict as well. I just went cold turkey, that was what worked best for me. Haven't had a soda 1 1/2 years. It's really hard at first, but stay strong and those cravings will subside. I now just drink mainly water, and sometimes skim milk and unsweetened tea. Good luck
  • Dallas here and sweating, sweating, sweating today!
  • Muscle Sport's Lean Revolution - Anabolic series (sour apple is my flavor of choice and it is yummy)
  • What really helped with my cellulite is strength training, squats and lunges. I barely have any cellulite now. Unfortunately, genetics plays a big part. Not sure if you can get rid of it all, but you can definitely really minimize it. Building muscle helps really minimize that nasty cellulite. I've read mangos, apples, and…
  • Dallas!!
  • Thank you so much for responding. It comes my way October of 2013 so I have a long time to train. I have downloaded the training manual, but I'd much rather take a cross training class or a cardio class. I seem to workout harder with a group of people, than on my own. I workout 6xs/wk so I feel pretty confident I won't…
  • Been using CLA for a month and a half..side effects: loss of inches and muscle gain! Very satisfied.....
  • I would try it. Pre-workouts help with focus, endurance, energy. I used them throughout my workout. They do have caffeine, so if you are sensitive to caffeine, be careful. This will not make you gain weight...it actually helps me burn more calories as I work harder. I would stay away from Jack3d. I heard there was an…
  • It's a terrific choice! They are very tasty, my favorite is the cinnamon raisin. It's 100% Sprouted whole grain bread, it's low glycemic, it's flourless, has great protein and no trans fats, 0 fats, 0 cholesterol, it's organic, and there are 18 amino acids in this bread. It's about 80 cals/slice. Highly recommend it, it's…
  • I am Puerto Rican!! Add me if you like!
  • I drink GNC's Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60. I am very picky about how things taste as well, and I love the chocolate. To me it's like a milk shake and when I add bananas or peanut butter it's like having a treat. I have to warn you it's expensive, but it's good quality protein with BCAAs added to help you build muscle.…
  • You don't have to....that is if it's dark chocolate and at least 75%. The higher the percentage the better. Dark chocolate has many health benefits such as lowering blood pressure & cholesterol, a great antioxidant, and aiding in weight loss...yes it's true! I have about 10-14 grams daily - it's considered a good fat.…
  • What worked for me was a lot of cardio and patience. Of course incorporate some strength training in there, but definitely cardio is the best thing to do. Before you know it, you'll see that fat melting off your body. Good luck!
  • I take GNC Women's Active. I find it has everything I need and also supports my energy level and metabolism. I find the packs expensive and a little overkill in my opinion. With the Women's Active, it's 1 vitamin in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. When it's on sale, I pay 9.99 for a bottle. Good luck
  • I have done this (I call it my "cheat" day) and there are a few reasons for this......helping stick to your weight loss goals so you don't feel deprived, and to also vary the calorie intake which does give your metabolism a boost. It has worked for me. A nutritionist by the name of Isabel De Los Rios suggested this and…
  • For me, it's in my protein/recovery shake. Glutamine is also great for that and I add an extra scoop to my shake (also helps with cravings). It has helped me greatly to tone up and build muscle and also in my post workout recovery. I drink GNC Wheybolic 60 and Intek Evolution Enhance Muscle Recovery shake. Both have these…
