i think it's sad that people don't allow themselves to be human, and part of being human is bodily functions. I was brought up to believe that farting is natural. Personally, I think it proves that God has a sense of humor, and wants us to have one too, otherwise why do they have a funny sound and smell? Just another…

Avocados, peanut butter, nuts, there's many ways to augment what you eat with calorie dense foods. Find some that will work with your food choice menus

My husband has always worked out. I have not. I had a back injury in my twenties, and a lot of health issues over the years. Now I'm working out more, and my husband is very happy about it. But relationships take work if you want them to last. I've been with my husband for 34 years, through fat and thin, and fat again...…

Here's some tips. Exercise. Make it part of your life, even if it's just walking. Log all the food you eat. Be patient, and love yourself.

Old Yeller. I dare anyone not to cry. and Pearl Harbor, because it was just such an awful movie.

The problem is, there isn't one. Welll, Udi's one slice 75 calories. No fiber though. and the slice is really small, but it tastes good. I've been looking for years. Good luck baking. You'll have to use eggs and Xantham gum to get the bread to work. Experiment. I use corn flour a lot, rice flour is very delicate.

Oh Baby, you're only 19. Give yourself a break! You're not supposed to know all of the answers now. You're still learning, and figuring things out. Of course it's hard leaving home. Now you really have to find out who you are and take responsibility for your actions, and that's very scary. But, most of us have been there,…

Simple carbohydrates or simple sugars - These carbs are broken down and digested very quickly, but most simple carbs contain refined sugars and very few essential vitamins and minerals. Examples include table sugar, fruit juice, milk, yogurt, honey, molasses, maple syrup and brown sugar. Complex carbohydrates - the complex…

Yes, Europe and Canada are different, and that's why there's a lot of grams, but again I think it's more accurate. Also, cups and tablespoons are different in Australia, I didn't know that! I wonder what they use in the APAC countries, South America, etc., when it comes to cooking?

I don't even use a scale anymore. I don't trust them. My clothes are hanging on me, that's all I care about. I set my calorie goal to be maintenance for someone at my goal weight. I'll eventually get there. I work out all the time and log my food. It's made me a happier person.

The skinny on this is: It takes the same amount of time for your skin to shrink as it took to stretch it out. Your skin will return to normal, but if it took 3 years to gain all your weight, it will take 3 years for it to shrink back. But you started shrinking your skin the minute you started losing weight. Keep at it,…

Make sure to exercise again tomorrow! Even it you are sore! It will make it better. I plodded myself for the first time in ages last week, 3 miles as well, took 40 minutes. Was on vacation and there wasn't anything else to do that would get my heart rate going. Next day was killer! But the following days I was walking for…

I just look at myself in a mirror and that's all I need to get my *kitten* to the gym.

I workout so I can eat whatever I want. That's the secret. Find the workout that you like that you will always do. Personally, I'm addicted to working out, I love it. A year ago I would have laughed if I said it and never believed it.

Strawberries tend to make people have a high histamine reaction, not that you are allergic to 'em, just that they tend to do that naturally. Food sensitivity reactions can sometimes take up to three days to display, so look at your food three days prior and through to your reaction. I know, I'm sensitive to everything.

Wrong-o. It was the Roman Emporer Constantine who needed to quell not only Christians, but Pagans as well. He decided to legalize Christianity and all other religions, but as a worshipper of Mithras, decided to blend that with Christianity. The idea of a sacrificed saviour is Mithraist, so is the symbolism of bulls, rams,…

The best hrm is the one you actually use. Did you try replacing the batteries? What model did you have? I check my calorie burn with my hrm and a variety of online calculators. Also you have to understand that you have to subtract the amount of calories that you would burn if you were doing nothing. I wore my hrm while I…

there's no such thing as a day off for me because I eat whatever I want, I just make it fit into my calorie goal for the day. I'm not on a "diet" that I'll one day stop. I'm learning how to eat correctly for the rest of my life. People who work out, etc, eat ice cream, cake and chocolate. It's a part of living. Learning…

I actually did an experiment where I wore my hrm while I sat and did nothing but watch tv. It turned out my heart rate monitor said i had burn 120 calories just breathing, digesting and existing. That comes to 2 calories a minute. So now I take what my hrm says and I subtract what I would have burned if I was just lazing…

Plain yogurt with a teaspoon of maple syrup and any frozen fruit you like. Yum!

You're diary isn't public so I can't see it to suggest anything. Open up your diary and let us look!

The amount of weight you have to lose may sometimes determine how quickly the pounds come off. A HRM to verify your calorie burn is very important. Do you weigh everything you eat? Are you honest about what you put in your log? It makes no difference to me, but if you aren't accurate about your calories your scale isn't…

I would get tested for food allergies and see if you are gluten intolerant. Wheat and oats point towards gluten, but I'm no doctor and those kinds of answers should come from one. If it is the fiber that is an issue, as all those foods that seem to bother are high in fiber my answer is to eat more fiber and drink more…

Mine, when I can as currently I have a cold, is Cardio 6x a week for 45 minutes. I have three cardio workouts. 1) Elliptical Max Heart rate, 2) Spinning 3) Elliptical sprints. I also rotate the spinning between endurance training and strength. I also do Strength training 2x a week.
