I'm allergic/sensitive to wheat so I naturally eat very few carbs and lots of protein. I feel fuller and have more energy. I'd keep it up.

Since starting here at MFP I've stopped all my asthma meds. No more Singulair, it gave me weird dreams and anything that messes with my brain I'm not into. Tonight I had a reaction to some new salad dressing, (I have food allergies/sensitivities as well that can heighten my asthma or just make me itchy or sick), so I took…

I'm sensitive to wheat and any sprouted grain so I'm naturally low carb! I eat mostly protein, but I do have polenta or rice pasta on occasion.

I can't see your food diary so I can't see if you're eating lots of protein or carbs, or whether you eat 6 times a day vs 3 times a day, but here's my suggestions. If you eat carbs you will feel hungry much sooner. It's how your body turns carbs into sugar. Having more protein, or protein snacks will help keep your hunger…

Eat every 2-3 hours. Small meals, but you'll feel more satisfied. Stay away from carbs. Carbs make you hungry. For snacks do protein, turkey bacon, jerky, cheese. High protein. Helps keep the hunger away.

No. My husband and I got a fixer upper, and we lost it because I lost my job. In hindsight I say get the house of your dreams that you don't have to do anything to for a few years at least. You never know what life may throw at you.

I have 70 more pounds to lose, but remember, don't just diet ladies.Exercise. For those of us over 50 we need weight bearing exercise to keep our bones strong. Cardio gets the heart strong, and weight training helps melt it off. You can do it!

actually, it's mostly in my butt and stomach area. Exercise and you can have that buttery popcorn.
-
up the cardio by 5 minutes, and increase your weights.

You won't be on the steroids forever, so keep going and when you come off them you'll be glad you did!

Plus they adjust for how much fiber a food has as well. The more fiber, the more you can eat, so as was said, not a 1 to 1 relationship.

I use it when I've got 100 or so calories left over that I have to use up. And that's almost nightly! ;-)!

I lost weight twice on weight watchers, but could not maintain. It taught me about weighing my food, but it didn't teach me how to change my lifestyle. Exercise was lightly talked about, and doing the points just had you learning about points and not about nutrition. I learned all of that here.

One ounce of maple syrup and frozen blueberries, (or any other fruit you like, you can use honey too)

I've been married for 31 years, but let me tell you something. Being fit is a life-long task. You don't suddenly wake up one day and say "I'm done". You work at it continually for the rest of your life. People who regularly exercise eat cake, and ice cream, and cookies, but not all the time. They work out and eat healthy…

What the heck is the matter with you? (Is that good enough?) Danny, you need to get your act together and motivate yourself. If you really want to lose weight and get healthy, you have to eat differently for the rest of your life. You have to want to change, you have to want to do this, because if you go at this half…

Ken's low-fat dressings. Also plain balsamic vinegar, or apple cider vinegar or rice wine vinegar. But you do need fats, so olive oil is ok,

How soon after eating the bar did you have this reaction? Food sensitivities usually occur 1 1/2 - 2 hours after you eat them. Could it have been something you ate earlier? I'm just asking because you may be sensitive to something in the fiber one bars, or it could be something else you ate today. So if you ate it at 2:30…

First, you have to make time for you to do this program. 4 x a week, at least for exercise. 2nd, you have to eat your recommended calories, even if you think it's too much. To lose weight and get your metabolism to burn you have to eat, believe it or not. And eat 6 -8 small meals, or three meals and two snacks, whatever…

Must smell like lucky charms

Hah! I work out in the morning, and can't eat because of a medication I take. I eat after I work out, and usually have an duck egg with a little polenta. But that's because I'd eat that anyway. Who knew I was doing it correctly in spite of myself!

That's how I found this place, and it really works. Best of luck!

Exercise! I beat my stress with exercise. Gotta love those endorphins!

Well, you start with a first step and you've taken it. If you don't have one, get a scale to weigh your food. You'll have to make time to exercise, because you won't succeed with out it. I know you get breaks, so get something you can do for your 15 minute breaks, and even during your 1/2 hour break. Start slow, make good…

I just started weight training and had the same questions. And with my weight training my weight loss has gone from 1 lb a week to 1.6. Using low weights does tone muscle and you get stronger, but muscle burns more calories than fat. 1lb of muscle burns more calories, takes less space, and more muscle helps push your…

Before I answer I have to ask, what do you like to read?

I have back problems and sciatica. I did the elliptical only at first, but found if I pushed the tension up too high it would start bothering my back, so now I do weight training and the elliptical. I made an appointment with a trainer and we mapped out a program, and we're exercising everything but my back! Calves,…

I've been weight training for 1 week and I love it. I also lost weight this week, so I'm really ecstatic. I made an appointment with a trainer and got a good start up program going. It's not that expensive so look into it.

Best to eat the amount it says. Find some calorie dense foods, like avocado. Work these into what you eat to push yourself up. Who knows, maybe you'll be able to have a bit of chocolate everynight, for the last 300 or so ;-)! Or peanut butter, or two cookies or something. Nothing wrong with being able to have treats, but…

Life without bread, well, that's me. I'm allergic to wheat, so I don't get to have any bread at all. Or pasta, or anything baked with it and that's a lot, but I'm eating. I think moderation would be best for you. Get the WW bread, or any other high fiber low calorie bread and use that. Unless you have a gluten or wheat…
