  • If you weigh the same and your pants don't button... I don't suppose... you could be pregnant?
  • Someone has mentioned almonds as being a good and satisying choice
  • Hi! This must be the post menopausal weight gain blog! Boy am I glad I'm not alone! I've lost 20 out of the 50 that I gained from menopause and quitting smoking. My goal is to get that off by June 08.
  • Double your walks and push the stroller with the baby in it when you do it. It will be good for both of you and the stroller will help tone your arms when you push it. Hold the baby on your stomach and do curls. Snack on vegetables. That's how I figure out if I'm REALLY hungry or just want to snack. If a raw vegetable…
  • Hi! If you go out for a walk Sunday, I'm betting your husband would join you either this Sunday or next. Guys are funny like that. They want to be able to do what you do or at least not have you do an exercise better than them. Also, if he can cook then he can cook vegetables, fish, lean meats, etc. I have to assume by…
  • Awesome on your weight loss! So far I've settled at 3 pounds lost this week. It started as 5 but then evened out at 3. So that will be great if I can keep it up. This will be the first week in a while that I start the week maintaining a loss instead of losing it over the week and gaining it back over the weekend.

I have managed to lose 20 and am working on the next 30 (plus another 15)!…

Whenever "it" started I would shout "NO" or "STOP" loudly either in my head or out loud (if I was alone)- otherwise you scare people. It actually works. You interrupt the tape cycle and it…
  • Hey- Just a note of thanks for the help with the food diaries, etc. I have found it helps me to plan out today what I am going to eat tomorrow- kind of cuts out that impulsive snacking thing. I know right now that I am going out with girlfriends tomorrow night for a couple of drinks and I had no idea that a gin and tonic…
  • I don't know if Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers is exactly classic but def. good music- Stones, Oh yeah! , Springsteen, Meatloaf, but Foo Fighters are ok too. Whatever gets ya "moving and grooving"!
  • Hi! When I run I like to listen to the Harry Potter novels as read by Jim Dale. His voice is amazing and really transports me into the novel. I have a much easier time running if I am somewhere else in my head. I also train in Tae Kwon Do 4 times a week for about an hour each time. I have been taking TKD for 3 years and am…

  • Yes that happens to me too but I never knew anyone else had that problem. I can tell I retain water as I am running. I can look at my fingers as I run and see them get bigger.
