The reason it doesn't log the calories from strength training is due to the incredible variations available. No idea how many calories any one idividual will burn because of what their muscles are already used to doing. Amount of weight to make me burn x number of calories may be miniscule compared to my weight-lifting…

Congratulations on making such awesome progress toward your goals ... rejoice! Enjoy!

I like the bangs ... they draw attention to your beautiful eyes, but I would consider going with a lighter bang that doesn't compete with your facial structure... Beautiful either way you go though!

Everyone is a little different ...My mother wants a HUGE breakfast every day ... Me, not so much ... I prefer a cup of coffee and a protein bar. I have heard some profess the whole "Eat like a King at breakfast, a Prince at lunch and a Pauper at dinner" ideal too. Others say light breakfast and light dinner with most…

Look at you just being awesome! Love the pics! Thanks for sharing!

I have used this same concept to help out friends (and my own outlook) I figure I get 1600 calories per day to spend on whatever I want... But just like money, I want to get 'more bang for the buck" so I look at every candy bar and ask myself, is this worth that many calories when I only have this many for the whole day?…

I can go up and down as much as two pounds in a day ... find a weekly or every other week schedule and don't obsess over the scale. That scale doesn't know a damned thing about the composition of your body, whether it is muscle, or fat, or water weight from muscles retaining water after a good workout or hormonal bloating.…

^this^ ... LOL You can enjoy your Skyline chili ... I won't take it from you; to each their own ... but I want ^this^! LOL

Sushi ... the only thing I can truly eat until I am so stuffed I feel sick, but I still want more. And my dad's home-made clam dip recipe with Lay's potato chips. Can eat a whole batch all by my lonesome!

I will never give up ... anything I will never give up sushi night, pizza night, bar night, fright night, wine and cheese night ... you get the picture I will never give up reminding myself that a failure to reach today's goal does not keep me from working toward tomorrow's. I will never give up. All things in moderation.…

Yh, umm, no, that wouldn't work for me AT ALL... Tell me "NO" something and I WANT that something. And NO pork? What does THAT do for you? I generally don't eat beef (allergic), so pork, chicken and fish are my go-to ... Most of those other items are things I may or may not care about in the long haul ... but I am much…

Maybe he was going to use ALL the pockets AND the fanny pack for Take-Out!

Forgive me MFP for I too have sinned ... if we both confess to the same infractions, do we get half the penance?

Macaroni and cheese : I will take the fork and string one noodle on each tine of the fork and then eat the 4 noodles, Ramen: One noodle at a time, wrapped around a fork (I don't break the noodles before cooking and I drain all water before seasoning) M&Ms/Skittles/Colored candy coated thingies: Sort them by color. I will…

I say absolutely! One of the goals of this is to learn to manage with things you like. Otherwise it will not be sustainable. Awareness of how many calories in foods you will continue consuming after you reach your goal and assuring that you are accounting for how you spend your daily calories is one of the ways to assure…

I remember once when I was in fourth grade, driving in the car with my dad, around 9:30 pm one early spring evening and some guy was tailgating us as we pulled up to what was going to be a right hand turn. Dad slammed on the brakes, jumped out of the car, opened the rear driver's side door of our car and then approached…

I graduated a LONG time ago (1988) ... At age 17 when I walked at graduation, I was 5'5 and 135 pounds of pure muscle. But everyone made me feel like I was unattractive and fat ... would LOVE to be back there now.

JC Penney Secretly Slender Jeans have reinfirced pockets sewn in from the zipper panel to the side seam to help keep the front panel flat and minimize 'bulgies'. I bought one pair and three days later went out and bought two more in different washes. And they're only about 20 bucks a pair.

Have you tried replacing the pasta with something healtier... Example. I have had a REALLY GOOD 'spaghetti dinner' using spaghetti squash instead of pasta. Prepare the squash with a little sea salt sprinkle, scoop out the 'spaghetti' and serve it with a marinara sauce and whichever meat (chicken parm or meatballs). It is…

I put mine as sedentary and then log any committed exercise. That way, I am not having to worry on days I don't exercise and I log the exercise for additional calories burned/earned.

Whoot! Awesome progress ... You should really be proud of what you have accomplished! Keep it up! :drinker:

I get leggings, and sports bras at ****'s Sporting Goods, Kohls, Target, and other places already mentioned. I buy them good and tight and then wear a looser pair of shorts or t-shirt over top to disguise the bulgy bits. I don't mind being warm, HATE being cold. And I buy my cold weather gear on clearance in the spring if…

Anubis I have a friend who named his dog Buddy because EVERYONE always calls him by name instinctively ... "Aww he;s so cute, how ya doin' Buddy?"

Oh and as far as 'What calories do I set it at?" I would not set my daily activity level to include dedicated exercise, but only that level you would be at on an average day if you did not exercise. Then let the program set up your goals on their formula. That way you can log any exercise you do and on the days you don't…

^THIS^ FIRST: You should really be as honest with yourself about your intake as you possibly can. I log calories, even on days I go over by a thousand or more. It is how I maintain accountability and perspective. (NOTE: This does NOT however give me license to beat myself up or give up just because I had a bad day.)…

^This^ ... Every major injury I am currently dealing with (some coming up on the three year mark of dealing with) were due to my sticking to the program instead of doing what I should have in the first place. However. That being said. IF you listen to your body AND follow a structured routine to the best of your body's…

Rowing? Upper body weight machines? But more importantly, I agree with the recommendation that you wait until you have ACTUAL recommendations from a physical therapist or your physician regarding what you should and shouldn't do.
