just so you know 8 glasses is usually the recommended amount for a sedentary person, if you are active you need more to prevent dehydration. also a good rule of thumb is if your urine in very yellow, you have not had enough. but here is an article form the mayo clinic that should help…

did a 1 hour class last night. had a weigh in and lost 4 ounces lol. i'll take it though cause i had a week of no exercise and not eating the greatest ;) i have 11 weeks to lose 20 lbs!!!

what are you eating for breakfast??? if you are eating stuff like cereal then you probably will be hungry. i try to eat a good amount of protein, i have a scrambled egg, 2 oz of ham, and a mini bagel..that's about 300 calories. also try to have a little snack midway between breakfast and lunch. it helps alot, i am the same…

it takes your body about 30 days to get used to a new eating and exercise plan. you have probably drastically change the way you are eating and your body is saying woah wait a minute!!!! it needs time to adjust to your new way of living before it gets the idea that this is how it's gonna be. i know it's frusturating but…

the one i got is just a basic 5-function one. it has the watch, stopwatch, HRM, and some other stuff i don't use, lol. if you actually go to the store they are right there with all the fitness stuff.

i'm in too. we are actually doing a challenge in my Zumba class so this is perfect. current stats: weight-- 167.4 hips-- 42" waist-- 37" chest--40" these are the lastest stats that i have. we weigh-in every thursday but i missed this last class :(

get a HRM and log it for yourself, it's really the only way you're going to get an accurate calorie count. i burned 720 in one class and 900 in another. most of the exercises on here are an average and it really depends on you, how much you get your heart pumping. it's a great investment if you are serious about…

i have done some research on this and what i have learned is...if it's above your neck, i.e. a head cold, then you are fine to workout but if it is below in your chest you shouldn't. i know this isn't what you want to hear..i am in the same boat, i haven't been able to workout since wednesday..but it's better to take a few…

i used to have "back boobs" also. as of today they are almost completely gone and i attribute that to lifting weights as well as cardio. i read an article that said some people just naturally deposit fat there, just like thighs and stuff, and those are the hardest areas to lose it in. so just keep plugging away and it will…

my face turns red at the slightest bit of exertion, i also blush REALLY easily. my nose and cheeks are always red anyways, are yours?

i just started it also. i did the first week, last week but i didn't get to do it like i wanted so i started over this week! it is definitly a workout ;) it's just long enough to feel you got a good workout but not too long so you feel like you want to throw it out the window, lol. i really enjoy it and will be doing it…

i had the same thing happen to me on monday morning. but i drank a ton of water and went potty about 100 times (not really but it sure felt like it lol) and i was back to normal in no time.

how are your measurements? it could be that your body is trying to tell you it's where it needs to be. you have probably replaced fat with muscle. i would check your measurements to see if they are where they need to be first and then try tweaking your diet if you feel like you need to lose some more.

i love fresh green beans. i usually sautee them with a little olive oil, lite season salt and pepper and i usually add mushrooms with it. that is my favorite veggie side (and my 5 year old loves it)

i would think you burn about the same cause your legs are still moving, you're just in a different position. you might be able to pump your arms better on a recumbent which would help elevate your HR. i personally prefer a recumbent bike because it is easier on your back and your tushy!!!!!

probably between 7-8 hours for me. just depends on how busy my weekend gets ;)

my long term goal is to be between 135-140. i am taking the slow route this time, right now it has taken me about 4 months to lose almost 20 lbs and i have about 35 more to go. but i have started amping up my workouts so i am hoping to lose 10 lbs by the end of may.

when mine has something that i want, i usually will have a bite or two of whatever he is eating and that usually satisfy's the craving. but i try not to completely deny all my cravings, i've noticed that if i am REALLY craving it and i don't eat it, i tend to over eat other things trying to make up for it. so i allow…

i think you have to change your goals. try changing the amount of weight you want to lose per week!

i find that as long as i don't eat like that ALL DAY, having one cheat meal is not going to kill you. and as long as you keep up with your workouts. i ate completely horrilbe this weekend..i'm talking potato salad, bk stacker, onion rings, cake, doritos but still manage to maintain my weight because i worked out.

yeah i was going to say the problem may be they are too muscular now if there is not a lot of jiggle! i'm not really sure what to say except try some stretching.

seeing as you are not EXTREMLY overweight, i wouldn't think that they would deform at all. i'm pretty sure the defomity comes from sagging skin and as long as yours stays tight you should be ok. but maybe you can talk to the artist that did it and get his opinion

my question is...... how in the world do you eat all those calories while still keeping it healthy? after dinner last night i still had 1100 exercise calories to eat (after eating 1600 calories for the day)! though i do understand atleast eating back until your net calories are where they are supposed to be, i can't…

just thought i'd tell you something i learned in school (that i didn't know either) wikipedia is almost like this forum, any body can go in there a say stuff about a topic. stuff on wikipedia is not from reliable sources!!!

I have to say that I am with most people in that if I don't eat enough, I feel very weak and dizzy. my suggestion would be instead of altering the amount of calories you eat, change what those calories come from. i think most people would agree that what kind of calorie is just as important as how many. you could eat a…

your best option is to invest in a heart rate monitor!! you can pick one up at walmart for about $40. this will actually help you alot more in the long run. most of these site use a round-about number for calories burned when everybody is so different. me and you could weigh the same and do the same exercise but your heart…

i find that doing standing abdominal work does pretty good! if you go to youtube and look up "zumba conteo", this is an ab exercise we do in Zumba, it is super easy to do and the first time i did it my abs hurt for 3 days
