"Who cares?" 1st off - I will be crafting this work in the same manner I have crafted many of the forums - my life story is highly entertaining. I have experienced many things - I've been tortured, I've been homeless, I've been in a mental hospital, I've been employee of the year,I've been a drug addict, I've been rich,…

Yeah - you are referring to the double slit experiment regarding electrons or protons not letting us observe them - not to mention they are random as crap to begin with. I've said previously this is no way disagrees with any of my stance put forth - In fact I'll be mentioning quantum physics a great deal because I think…

lol your understanding of this is respectfully so far off tilt that it honestly brought me to laughter. 'why it makes them special or gifted' - no one is special - no one is significant - nothing, not even the cosmos is special - it just is. The average person having a sense of self-awareness (not an identity) feels…
-
There is no desperate need to be classified as 'gifted' by me! - I already have a frame of thought on what the qualifications are to be labeled gifted, and I've gone over them. ^would they care? - lol certainly not.
-
Yeah- actually I think they are on to something very profound - the ego death. ^I have personally felt the effects of ego death from messing with substance abuse - hallucinogenics in the past - it is very unnerving -experiencing depersonalization. I in a sense agree with their line of thinking - quantum physicist as has…

College has past, I have a degree in marketing and one in economics. - Time is scarce and my time is finite, so I am painstakingly exploring what I want to do to make the best utility of myself and it.
-
I agree you need ordinary people to rub against - I find this need in myself - but it is me seeking out individuals - not collective groups. I think it leads to a state of 'anchoring' that is not healthy for personalty development - Peter Wessel Zapffe makes a decent case for this in 'The last Messiah' and so does Ligotti…

Yep! I'm not slamming the door on MFP - closing it quietly - but I agree.

Ahh..the life of a salesman. Gym, Reading, Running, Thinking, Big Smiles, Selling, Appreciating Art, Observing Beauty, Trying to find 'me' - a joyful daily cycle. Thank goodness for the Kindle! =) Revolutionized my reading efficiency.

No?

Your first red flag is that it's not "mainstream." - I know - seriously this is my biggest concern. :embarassed: I'm hoping to provide more credibility to it, but it doesn't help that the disciples of his I feel perverted and added a ton of junk to his theory. Erikson's Theory of personality/psychosocial development is…

I have not said though what I have come up with.. :/ And I have been purposely trying to keep this basic! lol while also being accused of not keeping this basic enough. I simply, wanted to make sure overexcitabilities are traits highly common in IQof130+ while inquiring about the age each person experienced their first…

^I will actually take you up on that idea. I know I have been doing that with major purchases now, I will walk up ready to get it - then decide if I can remember it in two weeks - I can get it with no reservation. I'm hoping he is teaching you from the Austrian school of economics and none of that crazy Keynesianism crap.

Looks like this discussion already took place. I think you are sincere! Sincerity and being genuine does speak volumes to children. :flowerforyou:
-
^wow.. absolutely terrible. My youngest brother is also gifted, and thank God he will be being sent to a place where they can enable him to explore many different area's of his life. The idea that just because communication with peers who lack the depth of understanding as negating from the ability of the intellectual - go…

^Christianity - respectfully is such a hindrance in regards towards the need of becoming the ideal in this life- because there will most likely be no 'resurrected body', the idea of knowledge and good&evil growing off a true-prevents people from creating their own virtue. I could poke more holes in the cathartic belief…

yep! Lucky for me the drive to learn & learn also runs through smarties who are willing to aid in the work. True though - all though I have taken great pains not to use any jargon, however I guess I came off as very wordy in doing so. Such a fine balance - I'm working on finding that golden mean.
-
'sophomoric attempt' - ironically in a sense I thought the simplicity would aid in its being taken more seriously and being easier for individuals to apply. I see your point though, harsh expression - but I see your point. I think for those that struggle with overexcitabilities.. I mean idk - its hard to explain, we can be…
-
smh.. this is for personality development for the gifted. - naturally sure some people can find a sense of themselves - when they are getting older and older, however the development of the individual is much more rapid due to the rate and ability of processing information and seeing it's applied use. knowing 'yourself'…

Lol. Just a side note - I just learned what 'hubris' meant like a month ago - truly one of my favorite words. Makes me smile every time I hear or see it. I appreciate your observation - I can see your point. I am however not a narcissist. Watch and wait, the love of people will most likely be my undoing.
-
And I'm singing it along with you. I do not know - it is why I am here trying to find 130+ that display overexcitabilities to learn from them. My idea's by the way are not fully formed- and obviously not being articulated efficiently.

+1 - PMing
-
No, no..I regret bringing up the biography - none of that had anything to do with this. ^I like your point though - things should be elaborated more basically for everyone since I'm specifically trying to hit the average person and wake up or at least communicate with his 'self'. No, this was simply to get - and I thought…

Fair - with you personally. - my point came off as far to personal. My mind is in constant turmoil and debate - there is rarely a moment of rest. - now as my ideal ideas of virtue run harmonious with my action I think my body and mind will be more 'at ease' - but for now its constant adaption and growing.
-
certainly not.
-
:noway: lmao.. indeed.
-
? I've consistently moved up the river? Don't see your point there.
-
Ok, apologies on my attitude with you then. I'll PM.
