We ordered orange chicken from Panda Express recently, and it tasted quite old (should have just taken it back to the counter), and while we were eating we saw them bring out a new bowl full and dump on top of the old. I told the girl at the counter that the chicken she had left in there probably needed thrown out, as it…

I made a parfait with Greek yogurt, blueberries, and Kashi Go Lean Crunch. It was delicious and a good amount of protein.

Mine were 9 lbs 11 oz and 10 lb 10 oz. The youngest is 21 now. But I've vowed that I will wear a bikini next summer in Jamaica. The stretchmarks will never be gone, but I'm doing all I can to get rid of the fat!

In please.

Thank you!

Apparently I also don't know how to post a link. Urban Chestnut Schnickelfritz. Delicious!

That looks incredible! Since I don't know how to post a pic, I'll just ask if anybody has tried this? It's my favorite beer this summer: http://urbanchestnut.com/beer?id=1112&cat=Bottles

I work out in the morning, before work. I find that on workout days I feel more energetic for the remainder of the day. I'm not really a morning person, so it took some convincing to get into this routine. But I'm so much more consistent than when I used to try to go in the evening and things kept getting in the way. Also,…

I'm seeing this as well. Any suggestions? And thank you so much, this tool is amazing!!

I drink plain ice water (from the tap) all day long, because I love it. Sometimes I'll throw some lemon in just to switch it up. I feel a lot better than when I used to drink Diet Pepsi all day. But to each their own. Do what works for you.

That's a shame, because this woman is freaking incredible!

In his defense, he DID teach me. He just seemed to think it was a strange request. He even asked me why I wanted to do that lift and I had to pull out the book and show him.

You have my full attention!

Gooey butter cake perhaps?
-
Maybe, but I tend to lurk on the treadmill or in the hot tub at various times of day/week, so they must be pretty sneaky!

Can I ask where? I'm at Carondelet Park Y.
-
Yes, St. Louis, sorry!
If it really is 20 minutes in between when they're coming back to the rack unload their weight and do your workout. It's all fine and dandy if someone wants to do a circuit but it's completely unreasonable for someone to expect to occupy 3-4 pieces of equipment for an extended period of time.
Thanks, that…

Where are you working out, can I ask? I'm at the Carondelet Park YMCA.

There are quite a few people who use the squat rack at my Y. I try to go very early in the morning so I can use it. I've noticed that several load the bar up with a lot of weight then do some circuit that only brings them back about every 20 minutes. I wasn't sure of the etiquette of asking to work in when I'm using so…

I couldn't decide if this was supposed to be a joke, or they were serious.

Where are you? I'd happily send you all of the Imo's in STL right now!

Toasted ravioli is the bomb! But we won't talk about provel "cheese".

I just started New Rules of Lifting for Women 2 weeks ago, and would love to add friends.

Yes, this! I can eat a whole jar with a bag of pretzel sticks.

We have a slightly different version of this problem, in that my 10 year old stepson is obese and very inactive, but lives primarily with his mom and step-dad who eat a lot of fried foods, no fresh fruits and veggies, etc. When he is with us he doesn't have access to soda, has veggies with every meal (though this is a huge…

I completely understand your fear, as I think a lot of us had it. I'm only on day 4, but it has gotten easier each day to walk into the free weights area and feel like I know what I'm doing. I go as soon as the YMCA opens so that there won't be many people around, but the few who are there have proven to be friendly and…
