I wonder what he thinks we should be wearing instead?? Apparently heels, loafers, and tennis shoes are out... I wear heels every day, regardless of weight. While it is easier now that I'm down 60lbs, the biggest factors in comfort are (1) the quality of the shoes, and (2) the shape of your foot. If your heart rate goes up more in the heat, than sure. I had about a 100 calorie difference between my runs (same distance) Thurs and Sun... not sure if that was becasue of the heat or the fact that I was 3 minutes faster though.

Don't worry about the speed yet. Go at a pace you're comfortable with and can maintain and concentrate on getting through the run intervals as they increase. Once you can run the full distance, then worry about working on speed. Believe me! I was -never- a runner (couldn't even finish the 1-mile challenges in high school…

You can always make a full batch, cut, and freeze them in individual bags. You can also adjust baking time/temps to make many things in muffin tins or small ramekins - that way you can either make partial batches, or again, freeze or fridge some for later.

When I started C25K I had some weeks that just got crazy and side-tracked my progress. I found I was fine picking up where I left off after breaks of up to a week.
