  • I'll add you! I'm in university at the moment, in my final year.
  • It's probably not a disorder for most people, I assume that would be extreme cases? I would assume that one is more likely to eat at night because they generally are at home and have access to food. When you're at work or school, it's a much more structured environment where there is restrictive etiquette around eating,…
  • Surprised no-one has said this: but angel food cake + whatever topping you are in the mood for. The cake itself can be around 130 calories for a decent amount and then add fresh fruit, yogurt, chocolate drizzle, etc. I'm personally a fan of melted dark chocolate, light cool whip, and raspberry jam.
  • I have a FitBit Flex. It's helped me lose 13lbs since the start of May. I set MFP to Sedentary (even though I'm actually more active than that) and then allow FitBit to adjust my daily calories. Even though MFP says I need 1200 calories to lose 0.7lbs a week, I've been eating ~1500 and losing 1lb a week.
  • The guilt is a huge warning sign for me. That signals an unhealthy relationship with food. Food is not inherently bad. Also, 1200 calories seems pretty aggressive for what you want to lose. You should be aim at 0.5-1lb tops. I would say that you should take a step back, evaluate your goals, and try to change your…
  • I love So Delicious yogurt. I pair it with berries. But, I'm lactose intolerant. One isn't necessarily healthier, they're just made from different things. Eat whichever tastes good if you're able to eat dairy.
  • 21 - 5'0 SW: 135lbs (though, originally 148) CW: 121.5lbs GW: 110lbs Last I checked I had 26.5 waist and 37 hips. I don't know about bust, though I'm thinking somewhere around 34?
  • I'm just over 5'0, so I guess I'm close enough?
  • I'm scared to get rid of them because I'm worried that I'll regain the weight I've lost. But, I'm starting to see the light and getting more comfortable with the idea of tossing the biggest of the clothes and the ones that I didn't really like anyhow. Basically, if I can't wear it in public now and it isn't one of my…
  • I've always been curvy, even when I was 110-115 pounds (at 5'0) and active in wrestling. When I hit my highest, 147lbs, last year, I felt like **** but no-one pressured me at all. At my lowest, I would say I could stand to lose a few pounds and people would agree. At my higher weight, they said I was fine just the way I…
  • You're taller than me by about 2inchs and weigh 4kg less. I would assume you're pretty skinny and that you may want to work on gaining muscle rather than losing more. Check out the stickied posts in the Gaining section about that. It would mean that you could eat more too. Regardless, I doubt its as bad as you're making it…
  • I can't fault guys for caring about weight because I'm generally attracted to a certain type of guy that is tall and lean to lightly muscular. It doesn't mean I haven't been attracted to people that don't fit that description, it just usually isn't something that happens on first glance. That being said, when I used online…
  • The Vietnamese place I always frequent- two of the staff people in the last week have separately told me that I look thinner. I also am realizing that I need to throw out a whole bunch of clothes and the things that fit best are the ones I bought in high school.
  • Whelp. It's a smaller loss than most people, but I'm short... sooooo.... :blushing: Took the most recent one tonight after buying myself a belated goal reward, two Lululemon tops. I'm wearing one of those (the white shirt) with shorts I haven't worn since high school.
  • I hate to say it, but losing weight doesn't guarantee that a certain piece of clothing will look good on you. Bookmark it and keep it as motivation and reevaluate closer to the time. I was 115 and 5'0 when I graduated and I couldn't pull off the dresses that some of my peers were because I was too curvy even at a lower…
  • Doesn't matter what you eat. It's the deficit. Some things fill you up more or make you more likely to overindulge, but it comes down to the calories. I've lost my weight with the inclusion of chocolate bars, donuts, and the like pretty much every day. I eat about 1200-1300 in normal food and then use my fitbit calories…
  • Definitely doable. I've lost ~14 pounds in seventy days. I'm 5'0 and started at 135lbs. So, I definitely think it's possible.
  • Alternative: talk to a physician. I don't know your height stats, but your profile says that you are 18. It may be good to talk to someone to get insight on healthy behaviors including curbing the urge to binge. 101 is fairly low for most people, so maybe that might not be the weight that works the best with how much you…
  • 1.8 to 2L a day in plain water. Then I drink a lot of sparkling water and tea.
  • I've lost weight eating a ton of "unhealthy" food and walking for exercise. It's not necessarily about eating "unhealthy", it's about making sure your calories are still in line.
  • I've actually lost another 4-5lbs, but I don't have a more recent photo. Went from 148-135 between July 2013 and April 2013, then I joined MFP and I've dropped about 12 pounds since.
  • I can wear almost everything in my closet. I actually need to get rid of many things that are too big after losing 25 pounds since last summer (ticker is only my last 2-3months). The dress that I wore for thanksgiving in freshman year fits again. It was the first sign I had gained weight.
  • Aim for half. Go for 5 in the first month and get the habit rolling. Weight loss isn't a quick fix. Buy some new clothes for work that are cheaper and "placeholders" until you fit back into the old ones. Go with skirts with elastic bands and things that will fit you at both weights. I was in a similar situation where I…
  • Height plays a huge role, as well as starting weight. I lost 12 pounds between August and April with no real intention to and it didn't make a huge difference. I've lost 11 since May 1st and I can see a ton of little differences. I'm 5'0 though, so there's a lot less space for the weight to be.
  • I'd hazard that perhaps the weight gain was possibly related to you being underweight. It's a lot easier to gain weight when you weigh less because your maintenance calories are a lot lower. So, tiny shifts, like drinking a bit more or eating larger portions, can add up quicker. That being said, you currently have a BMI of…
  • Don't drink anything day-of. Go to the washroom if you think you can get anything out. Go workout, hard, and sweat. Trashbags are dangerous. When I wrestled, we'd exercise in sweaters but it was super uncomfortable and only under supervision. 3lbs might be difficult, depending how big you are and how much water you have to…
  • I personally think the 5lbs for every inch thing is misleading. It isn't an ideal weight, it's just a weight. It's very low for those under 5'5 or so. It may be healthy, but it's probably not for everyone. I'm 5'0 and 100lbs is not my "ideal" weight by any means. That's 3 lbs off from underweight and would simply not work.
  • I'm 5'0. Down from 147lbs to 126lbs. Aiming at 110.
  • + 1 for black coffee. I also totally recommend tasty tea plain if that's not your jam. (Though, I can't really answer OP's question. All the calories in your coffee are basically in what you add to it. Check some labels for various creamers and substitutes at the supermarket and pick out something in the calorie range you…
