Why not snack on some veggies? Bell peppers, cucumbers, with some hummus? I also eat string cheese, those low sodium V8 cans and almonds when hungry.

I love skinnytaste and often use the recipes. But agree with the others, enter the food and amounts into MFP so you have an accurate count.

If you have 5 days to work out, I would do cardio three times a week to help with fat burning and then lift weights the other two days for strength and toning. Does your gym offer a free consult for new folks? Maybe work with a trainer for a few sessions to find your groove. Good luck!

I had the same issue. It frustrated me enough to quit before I finished the 2nd month. I need to see changes so why work that hard at something I didn't love? Went back to weightlifting and spinning and working with a new trainer. You have to find what works for you. Insanity isn't the be-all-end all for everyone. hang in…

I have exercise-induced asthma. After being diagnosed and given an inhaler, I can do any cardio - even spinning threes times a week. I'd hate for that to limit your cardio because there are things you can work out with your doctor to help with asthma. Hang in there!

Hang in there! Some days are better than others. It seems you are eating the same thing over and over. That is probably boring you! :) So you snack! (I have the same problem.) Try doing some new foods or making some new recipes. I love skinnytaste.com for ideas or allrecipes.com. Also, when I was bored, I snacked. So maybe…

An apple and low-fat string cheese. I also love snacking on cherries.

It might take a full 3 or 4 weeks to see changes. And I would definitely add calories. You are burning a LOT of them during Insanity. Don't starve your body but find good cards and proteins to help you get through the workouts. Those Fit Tests will show you the improvement and give you some motivation. Good luck and hang…

I'm with you WeepingAngel - it is so confusing! Between switching up my workouts, worrying about my BMI, tracking calories and NOW...these macro things - UGH. I consider myself to be a healthy person, been doing Insanity and watching my food intake. But now factoring in the ratio for the macro thing is overwhelming. How…

Love mine too. I wear them everyday to work and back and also, on my lunchtime walk-abouts. I convinced all the girls in the office to get them! In Chicago, we do lots of walking!

A question - are you following the food plan in the Insanity book? I'm not as I know what I can and can't eat, but I wonder if following that more closely will help??

Hey there. I am on week 4 and I haven't lost any weight either. My weight has gone up 1 lb in fact. I was so frustrated so I found an old email from a trainer, where he had recorded all of my measurements. Lo and behold, I lost 4 inches from my hips and 2 inches from my thighs. So I made the decision to not be so worried…

Started week 4 of the first month. Looking forward to next week with the cardio balance thing. I actually like the pure cardio DVD. I don't love the plyometrics. I needed a rest last week so I took one day off. My body was telling me stop for a second so I listened. Went for a long walk and that seemed to be ok. Ever have…

The best advice I got before doing my first 5K so, so many years ago...take the few days off before it. I think I didn't run for 4 days before and I was full of energy. It definitely paid off. Later in life, when I attempted to train all the way to the race day, no matter how long the race was, I could tell that I didn't…

Keep up the good work! When I finish the first month, I have a week of vacation - so perfect timing. I can then come back and tackle the next month. Yikes.

Hi there! In my 3rd week of the first round and looking forward to my recovery/balance week. Then of course, I am dreading the 2nd month. A friend at work told me the workouts are C-R-A-Z-Y. Tell me it ain't so! Hang in there! It works.

Stick with it. I'm on week 3 and I still pretty much hate Shawn T everyday. I haven't lost anything but my clothes are definitely fitting better. And it makes me proud when I get through the entire circuit. Those fit tests are key - they show you that you are improving! When I added 5 power jumps to my number, I was so…
