  • Bumping this up from a while back because it is just sooo good!!
  • I made these not too long ago and they were delicious! Pumpkin Brownies http://www.familyfreshmeals.com/2013/10/two-ingredient-easy-pumpkin-brownies.html I haven't made this yet, but I am going to try making pumpkin muffins using the same recipe that I use for my Oatmeal greek yogurt muffins. So far I've made blueberry and…
  • Yes, I did input my own macros based on TDEE (I can't remember right now but I think its at 40% carb,30% protein, 30% fat. My meal plan was one that a mentor on here helped me with and its based on clean eating (trying not to eat processed foods) Breakfast: 1 carb, 2 protein, 1 fruit Mid AM: 1 protein, 1 fruit Lunch: 1…
  • psych - I know that I do measure in weight as well. For my PB I actually DO put it in a TBSP spoon and then put it on my bread, etc. I seriously don't just slab it on with a knife because I know how easy that is to go over. Annie - I have noticed that I have not met my protein goals too. It's been really hard to stay…
  • I gained 40 pounds in the span of 2 years while on Zoloft. I switched to Wellbutrin about 3 months ago and have only seen about a 7 lb weight loss from it - the rest of it just won't come off. There are times when I want to say f-it and just quit the meds but I know I can't. It stinks but I am determined to find something…
  • I plan on taking my doctor the meal plan I'm following along with the reports I can print off of here to show him what I'm doing meal wise, exercise wise and see what he suggests to help me get this weight off. We already did blood work for TSH which came back normal, so I don't know what else is going on that is blocking…
  • I have an upcoming appt with my doctor and I will be asking him this question. I carry my 750ml Camelback with me throughout the day and I typically drink 3 to 4 of those a day in the span of 6:00 am to 8:00 ish pm, so its not like I'm slamming water down. I will be creating another post about my stagnant weight loss for…
  • I'm a struggling newbie too who is in the throes of peri. I'm (soon to be) 49 and have been dealing with this for the past couple of years. I have watched my weight go up 40+ pounds in the last 2 years and I have been seriously trying to get the weight off (very serious in the last month) and I have not seen any results…

  • I have been doing this for quite a while. I have what you would call salad or 'lunch' plates and use them for just about everything. I also use smaller bowls for cereal and small ramekins when I have any kind of dessert.
  • It depends on the day. When I get the chance to see a great sunrise, it can turn my whole day around. However, I love seeing a beautiful sunset at night too - it can turn the worst of days into a peaceful beautiful one. I have seen more sunsets than sunrises, as I tend to catch the sunsets going out over the lake where I…
  • Better Oats Blueberry Muffin with flax packet with an extra 1/4 cup of Mom's Best Quick Oats. That and my usual coffee plus my water. :) I definitely need to steal some of your ideas for a larger, more dense breakfast - those egg dishes look GREAT! Ditto on the PB, I love peanut butter and often forget how filling and good…
  • My name is Sue and I am a scale addict. I weigh myself every morning when I first get up. I keep vowing not to do it daily, because it does frustrate me to see the same 5 pounds fluctuate up and down without going any lower (I have 40+ to lose).
  • I have only had Banana Chocolate Swirl, but now I'm writing down a HOST of new flavors to try, thanks to you guys. :)
  • That sounds delicious, I am going to have to try that.
  • I make those kind of smoothies all the time with frozen fruit too. The only difference is that I might add a little almond milk in instead of water or in addition to, just depending on if I want the extra or not.
  • So many great choices here! Thank you all so much. I am adding much of these to my grocery list. I think I do need to vamp up my breakfast - the biggest issue for me is not being overly hungry first thing when I get up. I have the fortune of working close to home though so I can probably spare the time to make a better…
  • skinnytaste.com cooking light.com Hungry Girl is another one that has some great ideas sometimes Also, there is a website that a friend of mine created called Cooking Planit.com You can find a TON of great recipes and meal ideas there just by searching for the items that you have on hand and how you want to cook them. I…
  • I am thinking that you best bet would be to juice them (yes, I know its like blending). Other than that, soups. Make mashed cauliflower, cook the crap out of your carrots and do a souffle type thing, saute fresh spinach and mix with mushrooms
  • All of those that you posted look fantastic OP. Today I had 1 tbsp of natural pb on a Thomas Multi Grain English Muffin with 1/2 banana sliced on top. That and my usual cup of coffee, which I can not seem to break myself of no matter what.
  • Not necessarily a dip, but I do put it on my eggs, in a breakfast taco wrap or on my burger. I have also put it in my rice or on a potato. Lastly, in a salad - I will sometimes use salsa and some cut up mango or pineapple as my 'dressing' and forgo the regular salad dressing.
  • Thanks Jem! I will look for that. I thought I searched for it last night both ways, but maybe I was wrong. Brain freeze. LOL
  • Last night was a 30 minute body weight workout followed by a 1 mile walk. Tonight will probably be another walk but longer unless my bike gets fixed (or I get another one) where I will go for a ride.
  • This would be me as well, except I am 48 soon to be 49 this fall. I have been struggling to lose 40 pounds that I have gained in the past 2 1/2 years from perimenopause and the anti depressant medications I had been on. So frustrating!!
  • I definitely belong here. I am 48 and have had perimenopausal symptoms for the past year I think. Mood swings like crazy, my depression took a nose dive down and I ended up having to switch medications. I also had to go off the Nuva Ring because of high blood pressure, so that attributed to weight gain, along with the…
  • I am definitely going to try the wall push ups - I have never been able to do a full on push up but I think that with this training I will be able to get there.
  • I have for years. My husband is a type 1 diabetic that has never had a weight issue, as a matter of fact he lost 20 pounds in the past couple of years because his job was more active. I do deal with him needing things that have more carbs in them at times than I'd like, so I typically make him the carbs and either just eat…
  • I know I have a recipe in a Low Fat Pampered Chef cookbook that I have at home for a shrimp alfredo - I will check at home and try to copy it for you. However, I did look online for it and found a similar recipe for the alfredo sauce. Using the low fat cream cheese and skim milk you could cut down the calorie count even…
  • Definitely bumping to try this later.
  • I have made these and they are really good!
  • Coconut - It's gross I hate the texture can not eat anything with coconut on it or in it. Hard Candies - Meh take it or leave it Chips - meh (with the exception of Doritos they are like crack to me) Steak - I will eat it, but I won't go out of my way to have it or crave it Black Licorice - HATE Peanut Butter - yes I love,…
