  • If you're thinking of joining, wait until next week. New plan being rolled out with a different points formula. I think they are calling it "smart points."
  • Apologies if I was unclear or came across as spouting a blanket statement. I was speaking to my personal experience and a general "you." My experience is not universal, I know that. Biodiverisity is weird like that. My point was moreso this: try it and see. It can't hurt to experiment with macros to see what supports your…
  • True! Fat makes you feel full and can actually reduce calorie intake overall. There were many days when I was on a hardcore keto plan where it was a struggle to break the 1300 calorie mark.
  • I'm torn about it, since we're about to start TTC for #2. I gained only a moderate about during my first pregnancy, but I struggled to lose the last 10 with nursing and then having my gallbladder out. Still, eating healthy food and exercising daily are as good for pregnancy as for weightloss, so I don't really want to wait…
  • Why avoid fat? It's an energy source (alternative to carbs) and incredibly satiating. It is possible to overdo protein (an excess of which converts to glucose in your system). Avocado, nut butter, coconut oil, grassfed butter ... all good options! I have similar protein and carb goals as yours but almost double the fat…
  • Yep, I've arrived at the same conclusion. I know she just wants the sale, but I will focus on the workouts if anything at all. Thanks all!
  • Thanks, this is what i was thinking. If I do anything, I'll spring for the workouts only.
  • Good call, LOL
  • I think she is looking to build her business, to be honest. She's not a big proponent of low carb and is obsessed with Autumn Calabreese.
  • I've been doing IF sort of on accident. Most mornings I only have coffee before lunch. I've never been much of a breakfast person! Mostly I just try to follow hunger signals and stay laid back about it. I watch macros more closely than the timing.
  • I have found that it's easiest if one abandons the idea that certain foods are breakfast and others are not, especially if (like me) you like savory in the morning. I am having 1/2 an avocado with cream cheese and hot sauce this morning. I have turkey and cheese rolls quite frequently.
  • TURKEY! We frequently buy roasted turkey breast from Costco (it's HUGE) and I dice leftovers into omelets. It's delicious! Doing low carb has definitely made me open my mind about non-traditional breakfast foods. Anything can go in an omelet!
  • I just usually say thank you and leave it at that, unless they ask what I am "doing." Then I say I am watching what I eat and work out most days. I've gotten a lot of grief from coworkers especially about low carb (they are WW evangelists) so I am a little gunshy about sharing a lot. If someone presses, I explain, but…
  • Leftovers of whatever you're making for dinner! I have lots of portions of things like burgers and meatballs, and then I can dress them however the mood suits. Frittata cups also freeze/reheat well. I've been having really good luck with recipes from ruled.me (keto blog).
  • Look at ruled.me for veggie recipes. I love the pecan roasted green beans and bacon sauteed snap peas.
  • Could you need to add more fat? It's very satiating.
  • I personally follow and love LCHF, but cheat days are not possible without the trade-off of a big pop on the scale. That whole "hydrate" part of carbs, and all that. I can do a treat or a cheat meal, but not a whole cheat day. Or if I do, I know what the scale will look like for a few days.
  • I would just start your watch at the beginning of class and stop it at the end. You're going to drive yourself crazy trying to overanalyze the numbers. You burn calories all day long, afterall.
  • I had a csection about 12 weeks ago. I was cleared for light exercise at 4 weeks but it was still quite painful. I started exercising again regularly at 8 weeks and have just now added weights. I still get twinges if I push too much. Recovery has not been fun. :(
  • Hello! I'm also new to the group! My son is almost 12 weeks and EBF. I go back to work next week (sob!) so I am pumping quite a bit right now to make sure he has something to eat. Can you tell me more about the negative calorie entry? I adjusted my daily goal in the manual section, but is there a benefit to doing it one…
