  • Hi, I don't seem to stick to my plan that well over the weekends, so Monday morning when I weight, I usually start pretty motivated! It just sort of slips away the rest of the week. Trying to not let that happen...
  • I need it too! I do good for a few days, then just kind of tail off.. the evenings are the worst for me, I think I am hungry and keep going to the fridge...
  • Man, kind of glad to hear I am not the only one. The evenings are killing me. So I have started saving calories for then, since I am going to eat them anyway. Then I brush my teeth early! Trying to make better decisions about what I eat then, I currently have found the skinny pop popcorn that is 150 calories for three and…
  • When ever I see my self kind of starting to do, I hit the gym more. That seems to get me back in the groove.
  • Me too, I really need to concentrate on losing 35 pounds. I do really well the first few weeks, and then I just kind of lose interest and go back to my old habits. I do not know how to battle that.
  • I'm trying again after two years. I do great for the first few weeks, then it gets to be a pain and I go back to my old habits. I don't know how to get out of that. Maybe that is where the friends for support come in.
  • Hello
  • Me too. I quit logging and did OK for a year, then the next year I totally lost it and gained all the weight back. So here I am again. I feel really motivated and ready now. The first week has gone well. Let's all stay motivated and do this!
  • Hi, I started trying really hard this week to be serious about what I eat, and lose some weight, and just be healthier. We could try to motivate/help each other. I think if I see others going through it too, maybe it will help?
  • I just started back again this week. Did really well two years ago, now I have to do it all over again.....
  • Hi, I am back from a long laps, all my old friends seem to be gone. Looking for a few new ones!
  • For me, it is all about the logging. I lost down to my goal two years ago. I allowed myself to eat "non diet" foods such as fast food, just logged it and tried hard to stay at my calorie goal. Once I stopped logging it, I slipped a little more, and a little more... Now two years later, not logging for a year, I am right…
  • Ha! We are in the "I'm back" club.
  • That is amazing, very nice job! Congrats! I am not good at maintaining. I started that two years ago, but am up in weight now, so kind of starting over. Have about 36 to go now. Awesome job.
  • For sure! The evening is the killer for me. I do what I consider good all day, then from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm I feel like I am starving. Even trying brushing my teeth early in the evening, read that some where... I have been saving up some calories for the evening, so I can go ahead and snack some, and still be staying…
  • I've used it in the past with some real success. Then I took about two years off from logging, and now right back to where I was the first time!! So... I started logging again last Monday. I feel like I can really do it and stick with it! Anyone else?
  • I'm in the same boat. Lost down to where I wanted two years ago, quit logging my calories, now I am back up a little above what I had originally started at!! First year was kind of OK, then the last year was horrible. I could see myself doing it, but... So, I started logging again last Monday. As Bex said above, once I get…
  • I'm trying to lose around 35, I am only down about 11. I'd try to add some motivation. Right now I am in a pretty descent "exercise almost daily" routine and seeing some results.
  • Hi, I am the same way, mostly use my phone so don't cruise the forums. But I do like watching the feed. I can usually find some good motivation there. I'll send a request.
  • I feel kind of like that. I used to make fun of the people at the gym who just showed up a few days before a holiday, or for the first two weeks of the year as a new years resolution, Now I am one of those people at 50. I am about 25 pounds higher than 18 months ago. I am about a week into it now, and am going to make…
  • I am kind of in the same boat, new to it again. I really need to be more serious this time.
  • Congrats, I think that is called a non scale accomplishment, and it is every bit as gratifying.
  • 1965! Oh wait, I guess I am too old! Trying to drop some pounds before summer kicks in, I could use some support friends.
  • Seems like we all have different ways of doing this. I don't really consider it cheating if I count the calories, just that I went over that day, and try to keep those to a minimum. Also, I try to get some extra exercise in on those days to counteract it a bit.
  • I am really trying to get back to logging every day. I have much more success when I do that. I did really well for about 8 months, then didn't do so well. I am trying to get back with it this week, and so far so good!
  • I treat it just like any other calories in take in. Count them. Go to the gym that day to get some buffer room.
  • I have been taking one for about 10 days. It isn't working too well for me. The plan was just to maintain, but I have gained. So, I think it is back to logging ever calorie and staying out a deficit until I can learn how to maintain better.
  • My best tip is the only thing that has helped me. I absolutely have to log every single thing I eat. That gives you a clear picture. If I think I don't need to do that, and eventually see the weight coming back, and I start again. I am down about 34 pounds by just counting every calorie, and quit eating when I have reached…
  • Ha! This is funny. It is soooo hard to eat at my MiL's. her side of the family is totally centered around food. They sit at the table and discuss each dish for ever. If she is serving you, it isn't "would you like some of this?" or "how much do you want". It is "How many of these can you eat?". I feel she is offended when…
  • Probably a pot and a half. Black, nothing in it.
