Don't worry about wasting your teens counting calories - just eat wholesome foods, don't eat too much crap, listen to your body and let it grow! Too much dieting will have a massive impact on your development (say hello to the girl who is about 2 inches shorter than she should be, with no boobs, periods or oestrogen…

I hope you feel better, welcome back to the real world! I'm a veggie, but here are my favourite meals (maintaining on 2000ish a day at a low weight so adjust as you like and add/substitute meat if you need to) Breakfast: - 60g oats cooked in water, with cinnamon, agave syrup & berries; - Protein bar (Quest, PHD etc) & a…

People who are saying weightlifting doesn't affect maintenance, completely wrong. Just because MFP doesn't log the calories, doesn't mean they're not being burned - weightlifting increases your muscle mass, leading to increased metabolism so more calories burned throughout the day. You also continue to burn calories at an…

5"3, 103lb, maintaining on around 2100... I've still got a bit of weight and plenty of muscle to gain, so interested to see how much I maintain on when I get there!

I love your attitude! 1200 a day is crazy low, I would never encourage anyone to eat that little - unless you're super-short or already a healthy weight(in which case don't try to lose!) But just a handy tip - your breakfast is probably adding up because of the granola! It's a really sneaky food, really high-cal and full…

Mindful/intuitive eating is great in that once you've mastered it, you'll no longer need to worry about CICO anymore - your mind and body will take care of that for you, you'll be able to listen to your signals and know what/how much your body needs and when to stop (perhaps controversial on a site dedicated to CICO...)…

Good luck!! I gained 12kg and am currently maintaining although I have a tiny bit more to gain which I will get round to. Maintaining won't be too hard so long as you keep eating to hunger -as you gain weight, your metabolism increases so you'll want to eat more!Eat good, wholesome food, and lots of it, make sure you're…

Wow!! How did you achieve this? I've been trying to work on my bum...but always seem to end up targeting my quads instead!
-
This sounds really insensitive...all I can advise is that you be the bigger person and rise above it. Sounds like you have a wonderful future ahead of you both in your personal and professional life... who cares if your sister has bigger boobs than you? Other than that, I just want to add...wouldn't you rather be the…

http://deliciouslyella.com/category/recipes/ Here you go! The food is incredible and pretty much as crammed full of goodness as you can get. Also lots of healthy treat recipes (the fudge and the brownies are both incredible!)

If you need any support sweetie, I'm here to listen <3 If your weight is putting you at risk, then good luck on your journey to improve your health - the best way to do it is to keep loving yourself as you go along and keep your sense of self-worth up, as low self-esteem does nothing to help with weight loss! If you need…

You shouldn't need the opinions of sleezy men in the street to know that you are valuable! It's nothing to do with being "worthy" or being a "waste of time"... sorry, my feminist side coming out here. But still, I'm glad you're feeling good about yourself - just try focusing more on the fact that YOU know you're hot stuff,…

No. No no no no. So much no. Vegan? Sure. Freelee? Absolutely not. This is terrible advice.

Fill up on vegetables - they should take up most of your plate, and fill you up! Just make sure you're getting all your nutrients in and still eating enough calories. If you're feeling hungry all the time, eat! Moderate and regular, don't overly deprive yourself. Cottage cheese, low-fat/soy yoghurts, ryvita, berries and…

My favourite lunch at the moment is really simple - fry up a whole load of veg with onions in 1kcal spray, with a little bit of tomato paste and soy sauce if you like, and/or coriander, paprika and cumin. Add in some black beans/chickpeas, and spinach/kale and let it wilt, then you're good to go! Can be eaten hot or cold,…

One weekend of overeating really won't make that much difference - any weight gain you see today will mainly be water retention and food in your stomach, it will go down again! As for eating at deficit - your body will know what to do. Don't deprive yourself when hungry, and you definitely don't need to eat at a deficit…

Google Amalielee, she's a weight-restored recovered anorexic and is truly inspirational. Look for positive role models and trust the process - your head will be screaming at you, but you have to ignore those voices and push through. Most importantly, surround yourself with positive people who can understand and support you…

Honestly I don't think it is - the BBG guide is genuinely great, anyone who's done it raves about is so I think the girls are just sharing their enthusiasm, not flogging anything!

Gosh, so many. For me personally... gaining that weight fixed pretty much every problem I had with myself, that I hadn't even attributed to my starvation. My preoccupation with food - obsessive thoughts, it was the only thing I thought about - I thought it was because I was greedy. But actually, it was because I was…

Thank you for this, really helpful!! Sometimes I do wonder if I am the exception to the rule, and my body was just meant to be this way... I can I ask how much you've been maintaining on?
-
If you're genuinely tired and hungry, eat! Listening to your body is one of the most important things to learn to do if you want to maintain your lifestyle and seriously a couple of hundred extra calories will make no difference on one day. If your body is asking for fuel, it's probably because you've expended some extra…

I'm very light and currently maintain on around 2000, however had to increase up to that amount very slowly - increase up to 1500, then reverse diet by adding another 100 a week or so until you are maintaining on an amount that leaves you feeling satisfied, energised, and not deprived. It is possible to slow your metabolism…

You look damn good, girl - you are what many people have as their body goals, particularly those like me who are trying to gain weight and looking for people of healthy weights to aspire to who prove how beautiful healthy bodies are! If you do want to recomp that's your choice, just remember to keep loving your existing…

Absolutely. I've had new issues to deal with, but they pale in comparison the the daily struggles of my old life. Starvation does funny things to the brain - once you start nourishing your body, the fog will clear and your mind will start working properly again. You just have to trust the process.

I have no idea how to start a support group but that is a really fab idea!
-
Thanks so much for your help everyone - it's really good to hear some down-to-earth responses! I'm going to keep ploughing through, as even if my weight does stay unevenly distributed - it's better than the alternative. Fighting the body dysmorphia is tough! And good luck to all of you fighting similar battles <3

Hope I'm not too late to join this! So in.

I wouldn't imagine that your body was actually telling you to eat in the way you would have done to reach that weight, although congratulations on your achievement! I think in cases of obesity etc, it's more a case of misunderstanding your hunger signals and making poor food choices. Only in the case of extreme…

As a recovered anorexic who has spent years in and out of hospital and in consultation with dietitians, as well as having my own poor health and experiences as well as those of other sufferers, I feel I am pretty well informed. However I am happy to provide sources, I have included some in a previous comment.
