  • I got shin splints last year when I went from couch potatoe to trying to run with my husband. I got the compression socks from the Runners Shop and they helped a little but not enough. I got into Zumba and that irritated the shin splints worse. I iced and used compression socks both and still no relief. I have laid off of…
  • what jennw10 said- she uses vegetable purees in everyhting. It even works on my husband!
  • After having my daughter my thyroid went out of control and starting around 1:00 or so I would litterally feellike someone drugged me. I could not keep my eyes open. Now if it starts to go off that is the first sign and weight gain.Get it checked you will feel like a new woman.
  • I like to barely mist my veggies with olive oil and roast them in the oven @ 450 degrees until they are done. I do large amounts at a time and keep a bowl in the fridge to use for the week. Alot more flavor then nuking or steaming, a real time saver also. Enjoy!
  • This is day 6 for me on the shred and I can sit with ease alot better then when we started. I'm still doing level1 but figured I would move to level 2 on Sun. I just did my measurements today so we will see. I am still getting on the treadmill and walk/running 2 miles at night. Good luck everyone.
  • It helps incredibly to just get on and read others failures and successes, just knowing that you are not the only one struggling makes it easier and they can help you when you do struggle.
  • Way to go- I will do the journey with you as my husband is getting ready to do a 1yr. tour- I want to be hot when he comes home next year. Support is really what I need. Thanks! You look amazing-makes me know there is hope!
  • Our church did a Labor Day campout for the weekend and had Sunday service at Mt. Rushmore, the picture was at that service and it's with my daughter.
  • Schwans has frozen strawberry fruit bars for 40cal. that I love and they use real strawberries:bigsmile:
  • To me it makes a huge difference if it isn't cold. I have to have mine ice cold and I got me Bobble water bottle so it filters as you drink it. You can fill it right out of the tap.
  • I am actually on day 3-took a couple of days off due to working late and I have to say a little sore. I only have 8lbs. and above so now I know why I was struggling w/ the weights. I will eventually get other weights but decided to get the HRM first.:ohwell: Seeing everyone else's success makes me want to work harder! Good…
  • I have been the same way for many years-I think part is A.D.D. and another part is bad habit. A few weeks ago I started a program with Peertrainer called Point of No Return (PoNR). They send you modules every week that help re-train your thinking and habits and walk you through everything from cleaning out you cabinets to…
  • I use to use splenda until I heard how it is horrible for you. Try zylitol or stevia instead, they are natural and made from the stevia plant-although until your body gets use to the zylitol use it in small amounts, it's been said to give you diarrhea if you get too large of an amount at one time. I've never had the…
  • I too am looking forward to wearing cute undies. I alsowant toweasr a bra and not have all the bulges around the band of my bra. I have always carried weight in my back:grumble: and mid section. Oh and find a top that fits through the boobs properly!
  • Okay girls I'm a little scared to do the video today- my body is retaliating big time. I'll just have to work my way through. I hope another couple of days and it won't be so bad. Best of luck to all!
  • Chicken fajitas with lots of peppers and some taco or fajita seasoning is really good and low cal. My husband also loves turkey burgers-I mix in fat free catalina, lipton onion soup mix, mrs. dash and some onion and garlic powder. The catalina dressing keeps them from drying out too much and you can substitute bbq sauce if…
  • I use it just like rice. I also do a cold salad recipe. Mix your cooked quinoa with lime juice, feta cheese, sundried tomatoes, black olives and some basil or thyme, add a little salt and pepper and voila! I like lots of lime in mine. If you go to peertrainer, there are other recipes also. Good luck!
  • I use to be a major coffee addict. After starting the "Cheat System" from Peertrainer and reading "Eat to Live" I totally cut coffee completely. I also don't always like hot tea unless it is dead winter-so I started w/ drinking skinny vanilla chai and gradually worked to green tea. Now all I drink is green tea(especially…
  • I use to have IBS until I was diagnosed wit an intolerence to wheat. My daughter same thing, now we eat mostly glten free as much as possible. We do on occasion have wheat but if we have more than one or two servings every couple of days we will suffer. Wheat also causes her to be a little hyperactive. You can get tested…
  • I'm in SD but maybe we can help each other through MFP.Good luck.
  • Sounds interesting! I'll order the DVD today, but I will be out of town 15-18, so if the DVD is here when I get back I will start! Just knowing that I have to check in will be a great motivator.
  • I started being mostly vegan after reading Dr. Fuhrmans "Eat to Live". He is really extreme on most of it but it really had some great information. I have also found useful info. at peertrainer.com. Good luck.
  • I mix honey mustard, raspberry agave( just a touch) ,red wine vinegar, mrs.dash. and a little stevia or zylitol. Very good especially if you are eating bitter greens and need flavor to cut the bite.
  • Winter is really hard for me also. I feel like hybernating because I hate the cold. (NO excuse I know. )
  • Never really looked at it that way! I guess it's something to think about! Thanks.
