  • 1200 calories can be done, but you will never feel satisfied unless you pick better foods!! Here is a typical day for me at about 1300-1350 calories Breakfast: protein powder, frozen fruit, banana, hot chocolate (I chew the banana for the 'chew factor') Snack: fibre one bar OR almonds OR cheese stick & fruit Lunch: wrap,…
  • <<< post surgery!
  • I totally understand what you are going thru. I've been there myself, kind of, because I never thought he made my skin crawl lol!! But I wasn't entirely sure I was attracted to him but I loved everything else about him. I took it super slow (which he tells me was almost giving off the wrong vibes). We had our first date…
  • While I read this on here before I was never told it nor have I followed it for 14 years and my levels are fine. Interesting!!!
  • I read a book once called the Thyroid Diet. But in all honesty if your levels are normal with Meds you should be able to loose weight eating right at a deficit and exercise. Nothing fancy here. That's all I did. Good luck.
  • You are so full of sh-t your eyes are brown. You are cruising for a bruising Haha I love my mom
  • I started at 245 (highest 280). Current weight 160 but goal is 155 ish. Just had a tummy tuck so swollen!!! Pics on my profile :) Time is going to pass anyways so do something with it -- you won't regret it. Good luck
  • I am not sure I would use the word healthy, but there is a study out there that supports that being overweight and maintaining that weight is much much easier on your body/organs, than to yo-yo all over the place. that's all I got! ETA: in another breath, there are a lot of 'skinny' people who are very unhealthy. Just goes…
  • Congrats on your weight loss. I didn't get to the point in the journey you did ( unsure my body would even do that lol) but I had massive skin issues too and I was pretty close to my goal. I wasn't sure if I lost another 30 lbs I could solve it and I would look sickly. So I had a set of twins then lost 115 lbs....now 17…
  • Agreed - I am a more of a weekly girl myself. Also agree with what everyone else said. At the end of the day, one day over isn't going to harm you! and it sounds like you are very aware of it, so just start fresh today!
  • I don't think 292 for breakfast is bad at all. We eat around the same amount of calories. I generally swap between a few things, depending if I am rushing to work or not. 1. instant oatmeal and banana 2. shake with protein powder and frozen fruit, then a banana on the side (I like to chew) 3. cereal and 1/2 cup milk with…
  • I personally don't believe that healthy food is more expensive. Maybe if you buy organic, but to me lettuce is lettuce is lettuce. I think eating crap and fast food costs WAY more money. For the price of Mcdonalds for a family of 4 I can easily get 2-3 meals depending what I make. I spend way less now at the grocery store…
  • If you are able to join the gym a lot of them have daycares. I use Goodlife and the price is reasonable. Also, maybe try to workout after they are in bed, or after your spouse is home to watch them? I hate to say it, but maybe plop them in front of a movie - it's not bad for them and you get a bonus too!
  • Hey, congrats! You shouldn't purposely restrict your calories to try to lose weight when you are pregnant. Your child's health is most important. If you are overweight (you didn't mention how much you weigh) you can get away without gaining as much. On average people should aim to gain 25-35lbs... more if underweight, less…
  • Any doctor in their right mine would help you by working on your body image issues, by making sure you are connected with a doctor specialized in eating disorders, THEY WOULD NOT help you have an eating disorder. The logic is so off, so I second another poster that said he may not even be a legal doctor. I think you not…
  • You are an inspiration to everyone. You have done fantastic and look fantastic. Congrats! Here's to 2014! I have a good feeling you will love exercise a lot :)
  • Agree!! And remember time passes anyways so you may as well do something with that time -- small losses add up to big ones. Make your lifestyle change realistic for YOU, no one else because that will make it much easier to stick to for life. Good luck! ETA: A lot of you on this board will see your goal by this time next…
  • I had a few thoughts. 1. ^^ what the other poster said. Your body is in a normal BMI range for your weight so it's just possible you are going to have to just stick it out and wait for it to come! 2. With eating 1400 cals a day and exercising 6 days a week, I would also tend to wonder if you aren't eating enough. 3. I had…
  • I started at 245 lbs in a 42G Today at about 160 ish lbs I am a 34E Soooo the band got a lot smaller but the boobs just became beflated balloons, I hope you have much better luck than I. one day I hope to have them lifted!!!
  • This is the not the same lady I ran Zombie Survivor with this summer. If I hadn't have known it was you, I wouldn't believe it. You look awesome!!!
  • I track my water, and I find when I don't have enough I feel dehydrated like I am hungover, I also notice it on the scale! I try to drink 3 cups before lunch, 3 before dinner, and 3 with dinner. helps keep you full too! Add a low calorie water flavor like Nestea or Crystal light.
  • I workout hungover, I do fine!
  • Coffee will just dehydrate you more like the alcohol. I would suck back the water!!! I've never heard of people drinking in the workplace! Maybe cause I am a nurse lol, but if you don't want to drink politely decline. That's your right :)
  • For me, I think I failed in the past because I did quick fixes, and when I lost the weight I stopped. Never in those times did I learn to eat healthy, in moderation, and I never once exercised. This time around I taught myself to have a healthy diet 6/7 days, and to exercise atleast 3 days a week if not more. My healthy…
  • Just had another thought -- are you near a Costco? They have cheap clothes, but they get Adidas runners all the time for around $40. They are good price and good shoes. I'd be hesitant to bra shop online unless you already know exactly what will fit.
  • I am in Canada but when I decided to make sure my running shoe was right for me I got fitted at the Running Room. You are in no way obligated to buy shoes from them, but they actually cost the same as the big sports stores like Sport Chek. Again, as I am not in USA I don't know if we have similar stores, but if you don't…
  • I agree, a good bra and good shoes are what matters most. I also have big boobs, and I just wear my regular bra with a sports bra over it. It took me awhile to find one tight enough for my liking but I paid $12 at Walmart. Shoes are a big one for me. When I started out I was about your weight (245lbs 5'6'') and I had…
  • Congrats, you look fabulous!!!
  • Hi, I am 5'6'' HW 280 SW on MFP 245 CW 163 (but ++ swelling currently) Here are my pics but <<<<<< my profile pic is my current before/10 day post op tummy tuck Sorry my collage pics don't show entirely Little swollen in Mexico
  • You got this!! and knowing your weaknesses and coming up with a plan to deal with them is the first step! There is no way I would cut out all I love, like you I incorporate them in moderation..life still must go on and if you want to make it a lifestyle change, it has to be realistic for YOU not anyone else. I have found…
