AWESOME thread! Love it! Thanks to everyone for sharing - you all are so inspirational. Here's mine... "Before" at Legoland :) Summer 2013 - around 195-200 lbs "After" - last week - 147 lbs (I'm 5 ft. 5 inches tall and still want to lose a little more and add some more muscle!)

Thank you all for the encouragement and kind words and especially to those that shared your personal stories as well. It's so reassuring to hear from people who've been in this situation and come out the other side. Thank you!

Thanks everyone! Yes, I'm slowly moving towards maintenance now. I'm upping my calories very slowly - it's great to be able to be a bit more relaxed with food again. And, it definitely was difficult not to stress eat. Thankfully, I had already lost a good portion of the weight before the separation began and so whenever I…

I did the same as you - started with my diet and slowly added in some exercise. I recommend C25k (couch to 5k) running program - there's a free app available for iPhones and Android phones. I also now do heavy lifting which is awesome. I highly recommend that as well. Best of luck to you and congratulations on your…

Hmm...I hadn't considered that as I don't feel bloated, but that might be it. I'll double up on the water and maybe take some coconut oil (do you think that would help?) and see what happens! Thanks!!

I agree with other posters - there is a very clear, definite difference in the pictures you posted. You look beautiful, by the way! I'm in the same boat as you. I'm down almost 40 pounds in about 5 months and I still take myself by surprise sometimes. (e.g. is that really my reflection or shadow? or no way will that fit!…

Way to go! Running a 5k is one of my fitness goals - thanks for the inspiration! (Great time, by the way! Way lower than mine would be at this point!)

Great job! You look amazing! I love your black dress! Keep up the great work!!

I LOVE this thread! Everyone's NSVs are so inspiring! I ran 2.5 miles today without stopping once. (Yes, it was a slow pace, but still, I ran the whole time!) For me, this is big - I couldn't even run a quarter mile non-stop when I started my weight loss/fitness journey.

No gym membership here either. I'm almost 40 pounds down and looking forward to starting my body recomposition phase soon. I do have a bike and ride that a few times a week, run three times a week and try to get in a hike once a week. I use this website for some great at home workouts: http://neilarey.com/ Plus there are…

Congratulations! You look amazing! We have almost the same stats (mine: started at 198, currently 161, goal 145). Keep up the great work!!

Incredible! You look awesome! Way to go!

Thank you all for your responses. I checked all the ingredients and no MSG (or the other ingredient names they disguise it under) - the sweeteners are carrageenan (yikes! I've heard bad things about that!), stevia, and lui han guo. Fantastic advice on how to choose a protein powder - I appreciate it all and will check out…

You have great arms - so motivational for me, I wish my arms looked like that! :)

You look awesome! Congratulations!

Sounds like you have a lot to contend with right now. I think you should feel great that you've taken the first step and realized you want to change and have reached out for support and help. Have you considered going to a medical doctor and/or a counselor? They might be able to give you some ideas for solutions to help…

I'm totally in agreement with everyone else that you can make it fit in to your overall diet every now and then, but I also wanted to throw out another idea. I just wonder if maybe your body isn't getting enough healthy fat (and/or salt) now with the diet changes you are making and is sending you signals you want fast food…

Wow! Wow! Wow! You look fabulous! Congratulations!

Wow! I'm impressed! Great job! I can only hope to have your consistency! Well done.

That is fabulous! And in only three months? You are awesome!

That's amazing! Congratulations!

Wow! You look amazing! Great job - you are a fabulous inspiration!

Congratulations! You look amazing! I totally agree with what you said about pictures being motivating - especially when it can be hard to see the small changes on a daily basis. I didn't take my first picture until about a month into my journey because I felt so awful about how I looked, but now I wish I had that day one…

You look awesome! Congratulations!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! You have no idea how much all your kind words of support have cheered me up and kept me motivated today. A special thank you to all of you who shared your own stories with me. Hearing that others have been where I am now and have come out the other side stronger and happier has given me a new…

Thank you all so much! Your kind words have really helped. Caranis - thank you for sharing your story and thoughtful words of encouragement; you've inspired me to keep on keeping on. :) And thanks for the compliment - I've never thought of myself as having nice legs. :)

You might get some good ideas on this website: http://neilarey.com/ I use it all the time for no-equipment needed workouts. There are TONS of workouts and you can sort them by what kind of training you are looking for (e.g. cardio, strength, flexibility, etc.). Plus....it's FREE! :)

First whole day home post-vacation and I made myself go for a jog/walk for 30 minutes. I really didn't want to do it, but I'm glad I did since vacation was a true vacation with hardly any exercising at all. Hoping I can pull my mind out of vacation mode and back into fitness/weight-loss mode! Thanks for the accountability…
