dbkranz got it exactly right! You may crave things and you will eat them (I recommend eating fun size bars as you get the taste but not all the calories), but really make sure that you are eating healthy things that will fill you up. If you have a favorite vegetable, I would probably stock up on steamable bags of those…

Another option is to always make sure you are full. Drink lots of water! I know everyone says this but water actually fills you up! So concentrate on getting in your 8+ glasses. Also, keep low calorie snacks around (pickles, strawberries, carrots, etc) and eat 2-3 snacks of about 100 calories a day. This really helps me on…

I just joined a gym for the first time yesterday, so I wanted to read this as more of a 'what not to do at the gym'. My boyfriend got so mad at me yesterday because instead of switching out on one machine I wanted us to use two of them at once, so we could move on faster. He was pissed. My bad... It wasn't even busy.. But…

I didn't really mean it like that. I was only comparing how I used to eat (just like her) and how I eat now. I am looking for support in my weight loss. Maybe someone else who has had a best friend who also fell behind and all of a sudden felt all alone in the journey. Your profile isn't public either. Interesting...

Hey guys! I'm in! I need something to hold me accountable! My current weight, as of (7/15), is 166.2 I met meet my goal (didn't really set one I just try to eat right and hope to see weight lost by the end of the week). I believe I met my goal because: I have been really good about counting calories and making good choices…

I guess my question is are you guys on a birth control? I am, and I don't really have this issue. Or not that I have really noticed!? I absolutely do not lose during TOM, but I don't notice a substantial weight gain. Detailed question because I always wonder: Do you guys weigh with/without products in/on or just try to…

I agree with the other replies to get a HRM. I personally have a bodymedia fit, which actually tells me all the calories I burn during the day. I sort of disagree with way MFP let you 'add' all these additional calories for every time you work out. Many times that I work out, I still don't have a very high calorie deficit…

As long as you considered yourself essentially 'sedentary' for the calorie setting sheet (unless you are really working on your feet all the time), I think you should be fine. If you are like me and give up easily if you don't see progress immediately, I would advise just calorie watching first with maybe adding some…

I also love mine! It is like cooking a chicken breast in half the time! (they cook from both sides at the same time) I also tend to buy whatever meat is on sale (poor college student, what can I say?) but I never really feel bad because I make them patties and cook them on the George Foreman and voila! the fat is gone!

So I was about to post the really upsetting news that I am on day 7 today of the 30DS and have lost NO weight. Instead of sulking in my inability to see results on the scale, I decided to do my measurements! HOLY COW! Weight- Same (182.8) Waist- Down 0.25" Hips- Down 1.75" Arms- Down 0.50" Thighs- Down 0.50" Under bra-…

I have done it without shoes though, too... but I still get these cramps. They wouldn't be an issue if it didn't make circuit two so painful that I have to take small breaks...

I just started yesterday and my inner thighs are killing me! Also, I am in the second floor of my apt complex so I kind of feel bad for my 'new' neighbors downstairs. I try to be 'light' during the jumping but I weigh 183.8 so I am not seeing that working out so well. Any wise suggestions? I am thinking about doing it…

I guess I forgot to add that I am super short waisted. So my "few inches above my belly button" IS a the bottom of my rib cage! I am largest at my belly button..

I weigh any morning that I go #2 as soon as I wake up. I have made that part of my "weighing ritual" so I feel like I should do it everytime the ritual seems to be set in motion. (Maybe TMI) I haven't been measuring yet. Maybe I should start?

Whichever you do, stick to it for consistent weigh-ins. Generally, you weigh less in the morning though, and clothes generally add about a pound or so. I stick to a routine. Get up, walk the dogs, go the the bathroom, and then strip and weigh. =)
