Sorry for being the nerd police but "bump" is actually used to move a topic back to the top of the message board. It is typically used to keep a topic from falling to the second page and is a big no-no on many sites. The fact that it stores in your "My Topics" list is just a handy side effect.

Anyone who thinks that a pound of 1 thing will weigh more than a pound of something else is an idiot. And since you seem to find it necessary to keep repeating this I can only assume that you think we are idiots. This only further proves my point. Though for the record I don't believe it's realistic to gain any significant…

What's to explain? I never said said a pound isnt a pound. The point is if you took the volume of fat in your body right now and replaced it with muscle you would actually weigh more. And why is that would you say?
-
Please stop saying this! How many times do I have to prove people like you wrong? Muscle DOES weigh more than fat!

Or maybe because this site is supposed to be for support, not a bunch of holier than thou know it alls.

I was eating a nice 300 cal breakfast every morning and was pretty happy until I realized I would much rather have those calories in the evening. Now I just have a granola bar which is about 100 cals and save the rest for a nice snack before bed. This also had the added benefit of giving me about 20 mins more sleep each…

I also recommend you watch "Fathead", it is free on Hulu I believe. What's funny to me is that we make such a big deal about fast food but no one seems to realize that the meals you get at most sit down restaurants are just as bad if not worse.
-
Well she already cut one food group, why not 2!

Actually you are wrong, here is some reading you may find insightful. http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/nutrition/how-many-carbohydrates-do-you-need.html Here is an excerpt: "Despite oft-heard claims to the contrary, there is no actual physiological requirement for dietary carbohydrate. Even the RDA handbook acknowledges…

No one is saying that you don't need some foods that have carbs in them. They are saying that you don't need the carbs you are getting from them. Big difference.
-
More like he told you what you wanted to hear.
-
This! I could eat a whole bag of potato chips and still crave some Reese's peanut butter cups.
-
Do you believe that ingesting large quatities of carbs may contribute to your chances of becomming one of these people?
-
I would have to say that pasta is far from an ideal source of carbs. Try some nice healthy fruits and vegatables.

I don't disagree with you that your body composition is more important than weight but I do have a question. It is my understanding that it is nearly impossible to gain muscle while you are maintaining a caloric deficit. If this is true than than the reason we are losing inches is because we are losing fat, not gaining…

Edited because I think what you said speaks for itself and I don't want to be insulting.

I think I'm in love!!!!

If everyone quit smoking today many states would be bankrupt in a very short time. Think about it, they have no problem making marijuana illegal right here in the land of the free. How many people have you heard of that died from smoking weed? Think about that...:drinker:

Please just stop posting.

Actually, you said, Are you denying that you wrote this? Not only are you recommending something that is very dangerous to someones health but you are totally and completely wrong about everything you said here. You are giving dangerous advice, understand now?
-
It's funny how your stance keeps changing. At first you recommended that the OP eat no fat at all, which would lead to death by the way. I submit that you have no idea what you are talking about and no one should listen to anything you say.
-
Wow! And here I was worried I might offend you...lol
-
Though I am curious why they are concerned with how fast bodies are decomposing in a cemetery? How do they even know something like that? Why is it a problem?
-
Already edited my post to avoid the backlash. It's too bad that not all of us can openly talk about our beliefs without being blasted. Must be nice to just throw out something like that whenever you want.
-
Your right, probably shouldn't open that can of hypothetical worms.
-
Edited to avoid mass craziness.

Table Salt = Sodium Chloride Sodium Chloride = NaCl Na = Sodium Cl = Chlorine Chemistry, Learn it

Right, is it so surprising that a large portion of the people who drink diet soda are also obese? I would wager that most of the people who consume anything with "diet" in the name are overweight... Isnt that kinda the point?

Still wrong

That's funny because i thought Chlorine was a natural element. In fact, Wikipedia has this to say about it" Chlorine (play /ˈklɔəriːn/ klohr-een; from Ancient Greek: χλωρóς khlôros "pale green") is the chemical element with atomic number 17 and symbol Cl. It is a halogen, found in the periodic table in group 17. As the…
