Could be IT band issue, search YouTube for Yoga Pigeon Pose.

I found that Chiro was good for low back pain, not so much the spine 'cracking part', but the deep stretches they can apply to your muscles/ligament/tendons using there special table. It could help loosen up your hips. Definitely try Yoga, lots of examples on YouTube, 'pigeon pose' in particular is good for stretching your…

Find a couch to 5k app, then follow that up with a 5k to 10k app; visit a running store such as Fleet Feet or similar and get a gait analysis and fitted for proper shoes.
-
You should find a couch to 5k app and use that for training runs, for the first week of runs take two days off between runs instead of one. It's normal to have muscle fatigue and aches when you first start, the extra day of rest will help.

Large bottle of balsamic vinegar (16 oz range), add a packet of Good Season's salad dressing mix and shake it up. Fat free and almost calorie free.

I recommend for the first week take two days off between training days instead of training every other day as the program is typically set up. I say this because your thighs and legs will most likely be very sore and achy as they adjust to running, but don't let it discourage you, push through it, it'll get easier. I…

I'd go to a store that specializes in fitting running shoes and get shoes for your running style and gait. Next use a Couch to 5K running program or app to ease back in to running, also based on your hip area pain- probably IT band related- do the Pigeon pose a couple times a day to loosen the IT band and keep it loose.

I've used the Balance Bar and Power Bar brand because the unit price it lowest among all the nutrition bars. Both tasted good, the Power Bar is similar to a chewy granola bar, the Balance Bar is dense and chewy. Just bought a box of store brand protein & fiber granola bars from the granola bar/fruit roll-up aisle; haven't…

Keep to the right so those running can easily pass by on the left.

Kellogg's All Bran Buds cereal, 1/3 cup is 51% of the RDA for fiber, 80 calories.

For those of you that calculate calorie burn using the 'body weight x .63 x miles run' formula, I take it over time you've found it to be accurate? For example, if you consistently eat back calories burned according to the formula, you don't gain weight?

Looks interesting; if anyone is looking for a more traditional bread substitute, try Tumaro's wraps, lower carb and calorie.

Daily Yoga, for Android.

I find energy gels such as GU or Cliff Shots work great for fueling runs, eat one 15 minutes before your run, then every 45 minutes thereafter, be sure to drink a little water wit each gel; each gel is 100 calories, some have caffeine which can give you an additional boost.

A serving of Kelloggs All Bran Buds keeps me regular; 80 calories and 51% of your daily fiber RDA.
-
I like to use balsamic vinegar with a packet of Good Season's Italian dressing mix mixed in.

I used the 5K to 10K program in the RunDouble app; 3 days a week training.

Yes; I log them in under my meals- breakfast and dinner. Do a food search to locate them or scan the barcode on the vitamin container.
-
It's a program that eases you in to running over several weeks; lot's of C25K programs out there on the internet. I use the one from RunDouble.

Good source for races: http://www.runnersworld.com/race-finder here's one dedicated to half-marathons http://www.halfmarathons.net/usa-half-marathons/

I just starting eating Kellog's All Bran Buds. 1/3 cup is 51% of the RDA for fiber and 80 calories. I eat them as snack, they're crunchy and have a nutty flavor. Of course you could eat it as breakfast cereal with milk; or possibly work it into recipes. A single serving daily is keeping me regular so far.

Amazing transformation! Great job!

Great job, amazing results, you look great! I too found that looking in the mirror I didn't see a huge difference, but when my sister posted a picture of me from a race I could hardly believe it was me in the picture.

The last straw that spurred my weight loss was a visit to a specialist because all of my liver test results were in the danger zone as a result of my excess weight. Also, the doctor referring to my BMI as being in the obese zone was a kick in the pants. Seven months later I'm down 63 pounds to 154 and my liver tests are…
