  • Maybe I'm using the wrong words and I really don't know what I am talking about? hahaha You probably now more than me. I have an app on the ipad I do 10 minutes arms, 10 minutes abs, and 10 minutes butt. I only use 5 lb weight (remember I only started last week) Also this is all that I have right now... I am sore, but not…
  • I regret not taking photos since the first day! :( you can definitely see the progress! Go you!
  • My main goal is to tone. I run on the other days with my huskies, maybe start with pump then add combat later... When I can afford it! LOL how is the barbell you get with pump is it ok or crap? Thanks for the replies!!
  • I briefly scanned your post are you avoiding wheat gluten if you have hashimotos?
  • I thought I was 5'3.5" but really I am 5'4.5" according to my last physical. Currently I weigh 126, I would like to tone and if I could ideally weigh 120 I'd be happy. I think 110 is a little low, but you might be a small frame and in the case I'd say go for it!
  • Why jump to conclusions about the way I exercise? I was merely asking if I should do abs more if I don't feel it. It's not that I'm obsessing about one particular body part. I think you were mistaken
  • Ahh maybe because we are not in the "know" did you ever think of that? Excuse my ignorance. Next time maybe you could giver pointers and be helpful than making a useless comment expressing your pretentiousness.
  • crunches, R & L Oblique side crunch, bicycle crunches, reverse crunches, long arm crunches, cross over crunches, half curls, vertical leg crunches (killer) and planks.
  • Thanks ladies. I see more definition in my abs no inches lost yet, but wasn't sure if this was from running or directly from ab exercises or maybe both?! I do not have a higher weight than 5 lbs. maybe I will purchase a 10 lb weight. Jumping to 20 or 30 sounds a little too aggressive. I don't want to hurt myself and set…
  • You look amazing! I think I need your help! Lol
  • Baby steps. I have always walked my dogs. I also could not run far without being out of breath and getting chest pains like I was having a heart attack. If you get chest pains like you're having a heart attack, I think you are doing too much and I'd slow down. Don't be like me! Hahahaha but I did the couch potato to 5k…
  • My guess is 20% I don't have a scale but there is a website where you can enter your height, weight and waist size and it came up with 24% for me? I am actually same height as you, half an inch taller and 2 pounds heavier than you, but you have a lot more muscle than me! And you are perfect I listen to a health radio…
  • OK, with that in mind it's a question of identifying a resistance programme that supports your running, rather than picking a resistance plan and fitting running around it. Rest days are important, so it's more effective to run and do resistance training on alternate days, with one day of rest per week. That probably means…
  • Thanks for clarification Sue!
  • I want to tone up. I lost 15 lbs. down to 126 and 5'4.5" (yes the half is important! Lol) I also want to maintain my weight, maybe lose 5 lbs. more. Running is something I took up to keep me and my dogs in shape. I have crazy siberians, so 5k is nothing for them. I wanted to get their endurance up so I could possibly train…
  • Shouldn't there be rest days with the weights? Like every other day? I added weights on Monday was very sore... Anyone have any good ab exercises with weights?
  • Can anyone help me?
