At least try out eating your BMR, you should really lose weight doing that as most waking activities require much more energy than resting. People do talk alot about starvation mode but I think that takes quite a while to kick in. I noticed that I had the biggest weekly weight losses when I was overeating more so I upped…

Echo this! But what everyone knows as a calories is a kcal. A real calorie is so small that it gets multiplied by 1000 to have a capital C or kcal but scientists generally use metric joules instead.

Plain old fruit and veg. I also eat wholegrain bread, pasta etc. and sometimes lentils.

Another 1.5lbs down for me (actually lost 3.5lbs as I gained 2 lbs). Hopefully I can lose the remaining .7lbs by Thursday to make 10 but I'm really happy with the 9.3lbs so far, my biggest monthly lost yet and I've just made my weight under 15 stones. Well done everyone else and good luck. SW - 218.3 lbs (Tuesday…

Don't get the Mario Kart Wii as you'll be in danger of becoming addicted to it like me esp. if you play online. Wii Fit is great to keep moving when you don't have time to go to the gym etc.

I love to freeze made up food. As its winter I would do stews, tagines, meat sauce for pasta and shepherds pie. They can be made really healthy, for cheap and keep well if stored right.

Well I been listening to the new Evanescence album constantly since it was released over a month ago.

Yesterday was yesterday, today's now a different day. Don't really know where it came from but it helps me keep positive.

Bakewell tarts and Haagen Dazs Cookies and Cream... ummmmm!!!

Echo this. I'm actually a chef and I love the taste of my own food (a bit too much at times), these meals aren't bad (had th beef hotpot last night) it just about portion control. But there also really cheap and I'm trying to cutback on money so £1 for a meal is good value as well, so 2-3 times a week I have one for dinner.

I'll definitely will be taking part again.

My BMR is about 1800. My net goal is 1450 but I intend to burn at least 350kcal so I can eat at least 1800 per day but anything under 2000 is fine for me, as that is normal recommendations. I'm all about not trying to kill myself to get to my goal by eating 1200kcal a day as it doesn't teach sensible/realistic eating (in…

For me walking helped me get into running better. I walked 120 miles in September and now have moved onto running and cycling, (although I'm slacking a bit now). Each week I try to do a little bit more. Last week I was able to run 23mins without stopping and 30 mins in total when before I could only manage less than 5 and…

Well done to you, I hope to be like you in a few weeks time.

Mine is not be in the obese range. My current BMI of today is 32.4 so I need to lose 16.5lbs to reach my goal. November has gone well for me so far, I've lost 7.3lbs so I continue or up my game hopefully I'll be almost there.

I'm from the UK and don't really know the historical reasoning for using stones but 1 stone is eq. to 14lbs. As you can see from my signiture I use metric rather than imperial measurements but many older people like to use the 'English pounds'. I grew to say I weigh such and such stones and pounds but as I'm training in…

You've done amazing! I'll send a friend request to you.

I joined in April but only really started using here since late July and yeah I can't believe that I've lost over 2 stones since when I don't really feel I've made a massive change. Still got 4 stones to go but with MFP I know it will happen. Good luck to you.

2.4lbs down this week, just 3.7lbs left for the 10lbs goal of November. I really hope I smash it this month and be on my way out of the obese category by the end of the year... hopefully! Current BMI; 32.5. Thanks for the reminder Jackie! SW - 218.3 lbs (Tuesday Nov 1) Week 1 - 214.4 lbs (Tuesday Nov 8 ) Week 2 -…

Just to add, if your worried about your own cholesterol then its the saturated fat you need to be concerned about not dietary cholesterol.

I always pre-log but usually make changes depending on the situation, I'll just swap something for the same number of calories. I do it for both food and exercise. For me pre-logging is the key to my results so far.

Yeah they removed all signatures as some people were solicitating. Shame I liked them,

I'm Symone and from West London. I'm 25, trained chef and final year student at uni. I joined her in April but have been active since late July where this is the time I've lost all the weight below. This site is exactly what I needed, I've come across such inspiring people and hopefully I've inspired some with some of my…

I noticed my old post was deleted. I changed my username this week from twilightrealm. I hope I can still be included. I've lost 3.9lbs this week  , best week result so far but that maybe because I gained 1lb last week due to a couple of binges but I can still claim a genuine 3lb lost this week. Really hope to make…

When I first started running I got these real bad. I still call myself a beginner at running, I run about 5 miles a week, but I get no problems other than lactic acid now. I've been doing a 20mins pilates work-out after each cardio and it really seems to relieve my body of any aches. Even when I have no energy I still do…

It was meant rhetorically. But you need to remember protein contains calories and they can be converted into fat storage molecules. Its not true to say you'll just excrete it.

If thats true why do people get fat or suffer from toxicity?
