  • Still really determined this month. I almost did a half marathon run on Saturday out of the blue but my sports bra stopped me in the end. Will try again soon. No weight loss this week. Starting Weight: 175.5lbs (Wednesday 1st May) Week 1 – 39.2 miles and 173.2lbs (Wednesday 8th May) Week 2 - 33.6 miles and 170.7lbs…
  • Hi all, I'm Symone, 26 and from London, U.K. I started running a month after beginning my weight loss in July 2011 and love it! Running has been one my main exercises to help burn off my excess fat and develop my fitness - its my gold standard. I've done too many to count 5ks, about ten 10ks, two 15ks and one 20k (just…

  • Hi there, I understand your desire to know the nutritional value of what you're eating but as a trained chef myself I really wouldn't trust information from a restaurant only unless they are serving you pre-cooked factory foods (but I wouldn't eat out for that). For example, even if a restaurant has set recipes a chefs…
  • I go to a local GLL gym. I've been a member for over 2 years but have never had a contract as I go PAYG because I only go once per week but I think they do short/ one-off month contracts, all options are affordable. They're a social enterprise so they are a bit different to the big chains but I've always been happy with…
  • White City (by Westfield), W12.
  • I would do option 2 and just try go as far as you can but try and make it a little further each time. But also take a rest for a short while and see if you can push a little further until you feel you really can't do no more. Make up your own C25K. When I first started at 240lbs I could only run for 3 mins at 5mph and was…
  • last try, how about this one? 3WPF5ZNA
  • Did you try my one I posted earlier - 3WPF5ZN - I had a family member use recently okay.
  • Thanks for the code, I've been getting the nibble box for a few years now (anyone can use code 3WPF5ZN for a free box from me). Looking forward to the breakfast box on Sat.
  • I've been really motivated this week to get back on the exercise wagon. The weather here recently helps too as you want to be outdoors for a change. I happy with my weight loss too but I could do more to get my diet back on track too. Starting Weight: 175.5lbs (Wednesday 1st May) Week 1 – 39.2miles and 173.2lbs (Wednesday…
  • Nice to have you again on this challenge. Its likely I'll be doing this again next month so you can log for June in the new thread but still good luck for this month.
  • Silly me, the weekly update should be on Wednesday. New template is below. I've been really motivated so far this week and have already clocked up 39 miles and looking forward to the rest of the month. Week 1 – xx miles and xxx lbs (Wednesday 8th May) Week 2 - xx miles and xxx lbs (Wednesday 15th May) Week 3 - xx miles and…
  • Congrats to you! You look incredible, so much younger too.
  • I used the wii fit for exercise when I first started out. Like said the boxing is good and also the steps (esp. if you have platforms). I really haven't used these types of games for exercise as its not enough for me know but I do weigh myself on it everyday as its great for tracking progress. As for work, I would suggest…

  • Hi there, Youre pretty similar to me; 5'8", SW= 243, CW= 157. My initial GW was 154 but am still carrying a lot of fat (29%). I think I can realisticly drop another 25lbs of fat but am also looking to tone up next year so I might I will gain muscle as well. I'm not too bothered about the scales I just want my body to show…
  • Just wanted to say congrats on your weight loss and your waist is incredible!
  • Hi Emma, I'm only 5'8" and have struggled with chronic back pain for over 5 years for similar reasons to you and a job I had which still persists even with my weight loss (I just put some deep heat rub on). I can't give you advice on what weight workouts you should do but I find it really beneficial to stretch at night,…
  • Is this serious? 33g is ~1oz so thats why you gained weight!
  • After last weeks gain Ive lost 4.5lbs this week to bring me to 4lbs so far for the month. I'm now 1kg (3lbs) away from my initial goal of 40kg (89lbs) weight loss so I'm going to try and it before I see the year through. • Hi, I'm 5'8 and my initial GW was 154 but my CW is 158 and think I could lose another 25lbs especially as my %body fat is around 30% which is quite high for my BMI so my UGW is 132. My SW was 243.
  • When I first started losing weight all I did was walking (~6miles/day) and noticed in the first month that I was losing weight from my legs much more than elsewhere on my body to the point they were a size smaller when I was always 1 size. Walking and running has been my exercises of choice in my journey and as I've been…
  • Its actually saturated fat that you should be concerned with if you have an issue with cholesterol. Monounsaturated fat (e.g. from plant oils and nuts) and insoluble fibre can help reduce LDL and increase HDL.
  • Not the best start for me I'm up 0.5lbs because of lack of exercise and overeating. SW: 243 CW: 161 GW for December: 156 Weigh in Dates: 12/1: 161 12/8: 161.5 12/15: 12/22: 12/31: Total weight lost: +0.5lbs
