I pee in the shower, too =p

Same. I don't even like subjecting my own ears to my singing voice xD

I just ordered some 'Amazing Meal - Chocolate Infusion' and like it so far! It's not as sweet as other protein powders I've tried, and completely vegan. It's protein, but also fiber and loootttts of plant based nutrition.

I've limited my alcohol to one or two nights per week. Before I was having a beer or glass of wine almost every night, and the calorie trade-off was just too high for me!

I think it's harder for us who have been larger/obese to let go of the number on the scale -- it defined our fitness level before, and we want it to define it now. I've slowly come to the realization that the lucky people who don't have weight issues aren't like that... they define their fitness level by their strength,…

When I first started working out, I would get headaches... I assumed they were from releasing toxins stored in my fat from previous bad diets. Other than that, I would second what everyone else said about food and hydration. :)

It's really low quality bread, regardless. I used to work at a Subway -- all of the bread comes frozen in huge boxes containing 70 pieces each, which sit in the freezer for weeks before we end up using them. We let them thaw, roll them in seasoning if they're to be honey oat or herbs and cheese, let them rise rise, and…

I sometimes like red and green peppers, chopped into sticks, dipped into hummus. Mmm!

This was me about three weeks ago (first mile, ever!)... now I'm running 8-10 miles a week, and growing. It's addictive! :D Congrats, and welcome to your new addiction. Haha

I have the Polar FT7. It's great! I also have a Fitbit for tracking my sleep and basic daily activity levels. (I only wear the HRM while working out, but wear my Fitbit pretty much 25/7.) The chest strap is surprisingly comfortable... I thought I would be really bothered by it, but I barely notice it's on.

Congratulations! It's really amazing how quickly our cardio health and fitness levels respond to being more active and healthy. :)

I ordered the "MyoTape Body Tape Measure" for $6ish from Amazon for just this purpose, and I love it! You place the end of the tape back in a slot on the body of the measure, depress a button, and it automatically retracts to a consistent tension. My measurements before fluctuated wildly, but these are consistent :)

Try working out fasted (pre-breakfast)! It's arguably better for fat loss, and you definitely won't have any issues with indigestion. (When I start cardio on fast days I'm usually a little sluggish getting into my workout, but after the first 10 minutes or so I'm back to nearly 100%.)

^ sad but true! I'm doing a lot of cardio and running as much as I can, weight & fitness level permitting, and am slowly seeing a reduction in mine. I think it's really just a matter of getting your BF down and your lean mass up. Core exercises will help, but definitely not without being in conjunction with cardio and fat…

Try encapsulated ginger for your IBS. Two capsules, twice daily or with meals. Really helped me with bloating and gassiness. (Plus ginger has a myriad of other health benefits :) )

I don't eat much meat, but these gave me an idea: adding feta to quinoa burgers..! :D

I would count protein shakes, but not tea or coffee if they're caffeinated. (Caffeine is a diuretic, so you're likely at net loss as far as hydration is concerned.)

It appears there are a lot of people in this thread who have never fasted :indifferent: If fasting were so detrimental to our bodies, we'd have a lot fewer muslims, (instead, those who ramadan-style fast actually have better health, and mind you, this is without even *water* for much of the day!…

My exboyfriend was Canadian, so I spent a fair amount of time there. I loved Winnipeg--Manitoba was just gorgeous in the summer. I'd consider moving except it's so damn cold!

Don't do it! I like IF -- I've done 24 hour fasts once a week a couple of times, and each time I feel great. Fasting for me is nice because it breaks the 'ritual' of eating. I feel in control of what I eat, and when I start eating again, it's deliberate, conscious, and more enjoyable. As an added perk, my muscle recovery…

Yup-- I've been going to the gym for 7 hours a week for the past two months, and was shocked at how much my *kitten* was kicked by D1L1 of 30DS. The upper body stuff (and abs) got me -- my rotator cuff was too sore to continue... for three days! Looking forward to making progress :)

You should be super proud of your losses already! That's impressive. Many people never make it that far. 35% isn't high for your age and gender--a heathy range for you, both factors considered, is 23-35%. Not all fat is excess bodyfat--a lot is essential for healthy functioning of the body. Your breasts are largely fat. My…

You look great--exuding confidence! :)

I've just started doing occasional 30 Day Shred workouts due to the rave reviews on the discussion boards here. I've been going to the gym consistently for two months (and pushing myself), but the first workout still kicked my *kitten*! According to my HRM, I burned 400 calories in 30 minutes. Nice! The level one workout…

I haven't gone clothes shopping in months, as I felt like getting clothes for my new size would be admitting defeat. As a result, the very few clothing items that I could stretch to fit me are well worn. When I reach my UGW, I'm looking forward to getting rid of *everything* and buying myself an entirely new wardrobe!

I quit smoking about 9 months ago and gained 30lbs. It sucked, but now that I've started counting calories again (and have lost nearly a third of that!) I feel *so* much better. My cardio performance has improved, I don't get sick as often, and I have the satisfaction of knowing that I don't have any chemical vices. (I…

I recently ordered this measuring tape: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G7YW7Y/ ...and it's awesome! Push-button retraction so it automatically adjusts to the same tension with each measurement. Also, if the tape isn't level, the pin falls out. Cheap solution for more consistant measurements :)

Yup, totally eye opening movie. Gah-ross!
