This....don't do it.

Nay....on a LCHF diet, it can still cause an insulin release. I stick with diet water!

Do you mean in the same way the assumption is that it IS lean body mass loss just by reading a post? Fact is, if a person is building strength, they are also building muscle, which is lean body mass. Sorry, OP, for your thread getting hijacked. The honest truth is don't believe anything anyone says here unless you have…

I started at 292. I switched to LCHF, consume a gallon of water a day, and do strength training 3 times a week. At what point do results fly in the face of opinion? At 12 pounds lost, it was water weight. At 20? Low-fat dieters said "water weight." Now at 30, "water weight." I wonder, will still be water weight once I get…

Grain Brain...very informative!

I would say that there's a bit of truth in several posts here. At least for me. Don't over train. You should be able to get all you need in 45 minutes if you increase the intensity. Lift heavy, lift hard, and sprint. Yes, I would agree that the LCHF way of eating is WAY better. The research is decades old, not skewed by…

ADD/ADHD is a behavioral problem that often times is fixed with strict boundaries and an attitude adjustment. Worked for me, works for my son, no meds necessary.

My motivation was seeing the scale at 292. I decided right then to wage war against my weight. Today will be my very first day back to the gym in 15 years, but I changed my diet 6 weeks ago. Today the scale read 263. That's almost 30 pounds in 6 weeks without starving myself and having plenty of energy. If you'd like to…

No, not ever. It is liberating to have it on. My wedding ring has embedded itself into my finger such that even if I ever did take it off, there is a permanent reminder.

week1 278.4 week2 275.8 week3 269.8 Week4 268.8 Least loss since I started, most undisciplined week also. Sorta makes sense.

Go to www.ruled.me There are a lot of recipes there that should fit your macros. Just off the top of my head, try the keto paprika chicken but use chicken thighs instead of breast.

Clinique Happy....I can quickly find anyone wearing it in a crowd of people!

In a strictly platonic, camping out on a hunting trip kind of way.

As a 6' tall male, if I weighed 185 and was neurotic about what I was eating just to lost 5 more pounds, I might have a problem. BUT, I started this journey at 292. There is no way I could make progress without carefully measuring what I eat, and finding a style that not only works for me, but one that I won't easily give…

There are some damn delicious recipes on ruled.me! 4. Eating healthier costs more. 5. Bulletproof Coffee is freaking delicious! 6. My knees love me 20 pounds lighter.…

Week1 278.4 Week2 275.8 Week3 269.8 That's almost 9 pounds gone in 3 weeks. Going for multiples of 15! My son is in the Air Force Junior ROTC an is going to do the Marine Corps PT workout this summer with the enlisted servicemen here....think I'll join him and see what happens!

I use the almond butter chia squares recipe found at ruled.me They're a little strange at first, but quickly become delicious! The next time I make them I'm going to make my own pecan butter and see if it is even better.

I appreciate everyone's input on this. And if I've read it correctly, stix will be dark for a few weeks after starting the low carb lifestyle and gradually become more light as my body becomes more adapted. Either way, a poor test and I should just BTFM (buy the f'ing meter)!

ruled.me has a great recipe for low-carb "maple" syrup.
