As a kid we used to go for a week in the caravan every year to st. andrews. We took the bikes and rode all over the place, it was great. It's definitely a good idea! As for what to get, I have no idea, but it will depend on what you are driving and how much it can tow.

Any good protein will make you feel full and doesn't have to have too many calories if there is not much fat. Think chicken, fish and lean steak.
-
Protein shakes are for building muscle. If you are toning, I don't think you have a need for them.
-
Wow you look really toned, and about ten years younger.
-
Aww, it's not for the boys :( I tried anyway though and I'm currently 4lbs under my happy weight and pretty happy but still battling a tummy :)
-
If you don't feel you need to eat it, don't eat it. As long as you are not starving yourself (which you clearly are not at 2000 calories) you'll be fine.

Yeah it's a pain alright, but I hardly get sandwiches anyway now that I know the calories. I was pleasantly surprised the other day (when I did fancy a sandwich) to find that Greggs have started doing thai chicken and lime sandwich that uses creme freche instead of mayo. Tastes good too.

Hi, welcome to the site. I'm sure you'll settle in well, and your past experience could be of benefit to others.
-
Hmm, the only thing I can think of is custard. Everything else bad is oh so gooood :)
-
I've lost all my weight using it :)

Welcome to the site. I find that people open up more as they get more success so I'm sure you'll do well on here :) I don't talk much about my weight loss with people I know offline, but here I feel we can all open up as we have the same interest.

I'm in Glasgow :) Feel free to add!

MFP has had me on 1200 cals since I started and I've lost around 2.5 lbs a week without too much effort (other than not eating things I shouldn't!). It won't be easy but it's possible, just about.
-
Wish we could get any kind of low cal wraps here!
-
Defintely trying these in the near future :)
-
Mmmm.. This is definitely being tried this weekend :)
-
I'm 35 and from Scotland so add me if you like :)
-
Okay, I may have to demand the recipe for this :)
-
I don't really care that much about the cholesterol, but a lot of the recipes I'd seen recently had been seperating to 'lighten' them and I'd kind of got into that thought pattern.
-
Well you came to a good place for support :)
-
I'm nearly at my goal with nothing more than diet, a few walks, and taking the stairs at work. I know I'm not fit, but I'm not too fat now either and don't have the time!
-
It could be that if you ate more protein at dinner you wouldn't need the snacks at night as you'd feel more full. Also, maybe you should actually have your dinner a little later so that you are not feeling hungry again later at night?
-
Here's a six-week programme to get you there :) http://www.unique-bodyweight-exercises.com/splits.html
-
Or, if you are already doing this, make sure you do NOT eat them.

www.skinnytaste.com is where I get my plans!

Lentil soup for me today. 186 calories for the can and it's quite filling.

I have lost 30 lbs since the start of the year and it's been entirely through watching what I eat. I agree that if you don't watch that, you have twice the battle ahead of you.

Turn frying pan up hot. Whack on burgers. Turn pan to low. Cook, flipping after a few mins. Worksforme!
-
Always good to have more Scots on board :) My wife and I have lost the same since starting here. Add me if you like.

Are you eating back the exercise calories? If so, then don't unless you are still hungry. You have plenty of calories to keep your body going just now. Also, how much water are you drinking? If you consistently drink your 8 glasses a day then your body will shed the extra water it is holding.
