I love (and use) the word persnickety! Another that comes to mind is picayune! = 1. Of little value or importance; paltry. See Synonyms at trivial. 2. Petty; small-minded: "It had seemed picayune to get all bent out of shape organizing the household chores" It was also an old Spanish coin, worth very little.

That is awful! I couldn't even finish reading it! I wonder why that show is still allowed to be in production. I would not be surprised to hear that they have many lawsuits filed against them because of all the health issues caused by their plan!

I don't bother with logging it because the amount of calories is so miniscule. I only log oil or butter when I use it.

Usually I find that the people who comment the most in a negative way are just trying to make themselves feel better because you are doing something good for your body and health and being successful and they are not for whatever reason. They are trying to justify their lack of action! Ignore them and do what is right for…

MSeel1984, that is wonderful news! I have those kinds of results with my type II diabetes with 5.7 A1c's for almost two years due to considerable weight loss but that is more easily controlled than type I for sure---almost two different diseases! Keep up the good work!

1. Minimum of 20 minutes exercise today 2. Allow only healthy foods to be eaten today, watching portion sizes. 3. Positive thoughts that I can do this! 4. Last, but should be first, Prayer!

Carbs are definitely one of my enemies too! I love bread and pasta but it has caused me to gain back 20 lbs of the 60 I lost! Making a pact with myself to cut way back on the unhealthy carbs in my diet so I can get back to where I was! Christmas cookies and candy are my other downfall this time of year too! Good thing that…

I smile and say thank you! Its funny how people react to simple things like a compliment or a simple smile. When I pass someone I usually smile at them. You never know--you might be the first or the only smile they receive all day and you just made the person feel better, and not so invisible to the world. Had a discussion…

I purposely make larger than I need for one person batches of steel cut oatmeal because it takes a while to cook. Mostly I do it in the crockpot before I go to bed. The leftovers I store in the fridge for use on other days for breakfast. just add a little milk, almond milk or coconut milk to your serving before you…

I quit smoking almost 5 years ago. It was not easy but I have not had a cigarette since the day I quit. I'm not going to judge anyone --we each are different -- but it seems to me that using an e-cig is like still having the habit of having to have something in your hands that you then put in your mouth. Lesser evil than…

My profile name is rather boring actually. First initial, last name and birthday. I'm not very clever when it comes to profile names. even my blog has a boring name I think---Elaine's Random Thoughts-- but at least it's true--the thoughts are very random indeed!

Never thought I would like things like quinoa and couscous, Whole wheat pasta, brown rice pasta etc but now I like them quite fine.
