  • Hi! This is day #2 for me and I love the food calculator with MFP. It's amazing how fast 1,300 calories add up! Hope everyone has a great day, stays motivated, and also focused. It's not easy! There was a saying with WW and I loved it: "Nothing tastes better than being slim feels!"
  • I'd love to join you llssiiss! If that's your name, how do you pronounce it? Congrats to you losing 25 lbs! That's awesome. I want to lose 10 or 15 so, we're in the same neighborhood! Hi to everyone else!! We can do it!!
  • I'm checking in for day #1 weighing in at 180.2! That's 10 - 15 overweight for my age & height so, my goal is to lose 10 lbs. Once I reach that goal, maybe I'll shoot for another 5 to allow for special events and a cushion to maintain the weight loss but, I know losing 10 will be a challenge! Checking in each day might…
  • Sherri, I totally agree checking in everyday is a great idea. I "need" accountability and those around me trying to lose weight are an inspiration to keep going! Have a great afternoon!
  • Sherri, GOOD! I like Monday also but, we'll see if anyone else agrees. Do you think checking-in everyday, even if it's just to say Hi, is a good idea? It inspires me to know I'm not alone trying to lose 15 - 20 lbs.
  • One more "pal" to the group since yesterday! Can we all agree on a specific weigh-in day? How about making it every Monday? That way we'll have to be cautious over the weekend! OR Tuesday? We can pretend it's WW without the cost! :D I'm also going to log-in every day to make myself accountable. By doing that, I hope to see…
  • Hi everybody! Day #3 for me and I'm happy to see so many newbies! Again, I love the ability to log in the foods I eat giving me the calories I have left. Vzavala, my daughter (who's 50, & has 2 boys) competed a few years ago. This is her pic that I have on my fridge to inspire me so, between the two of you, I'm REALLY…
  • Hi Sherri and is it Marissa? I'm Sandy! With the stay home, stay safe idea, they should add "stay fat!" I've gained 15 lbs and hit 183.8...the most I've ever weighed! Yesterday was day #1 and I religiously plugged in the foods I ate. What an eye opener BUT, I lost 1.2 lbs overnight so, I'm inspired! WE can do it!!
  • Hey, I'm looking forward to this tool also. With the "stay home, stay safe" rules, they should have added "stay fat!!" I gained 15 lbs with all my good cooking but, yesterday I said "Enough!" I lost 1.2 lbs overnight so, I'm pumped! Funny how reducing portion size and fewer calories can make a difference! :)

  • Mithridites, I'm so sorry to hear your marriage is ending but, think positive! A new door will open for you and congrats on losing 22 pounds! THAT is awesome so, keep it going! :) I'll check the "Volume Eaters" for sure.
  • Saying "Hi" to Irachel and Mithridites! I'm glad to see someone post TODAY with so many others from years ago! During this COVID "stay home, stay safe," I've gained 15 lbs so, yesterday I said "Enough!" I love the ability to plug in the foods I eat during the day on this website and it kept me on track all day yesterday.…
  • Okay....that is my new profile complete with a COVID-19 scarf around my neck. I don't like Nancy Pelosi but, I do like her style! :D
  • OMG...someone is here TODAY!! I just noticed so many posts are from years ago! I'm like you and feel like my life is a diet-go-round! I lose 5 lbs, gain 3 back, lose those 3 and gain 2 more! This is MY day #1! Let's do this together!! Do you live in the U.S.? Call me Sandy! That's an old pic. A new one with my COVID scarf…
  • I don't know what 10 stone is! I know only pounds but, LOL...10 of anything is good! Congratulations!

  • Good for you and your determination to beat obesity for life! You're doing great so far and I think you will succeed. Each day is one step closer to your goal so, don't give up. Weight Watchers has a saying that I live by and it's "Nothing tastes better than being thin feels." What helps me, whenever I see temptations, is…
  • Poobah....you're SUCH an inspiration and I loved reading your story! I'm 74 (profile pic was taken last December) and after being on a modified Paleo diet for over a year, I got stupid and started adding little treats to it thinking I could control them. NOT!!! One cookie led to two and then a piece of cake at a party,…
  • I used to live south of Boston and miss it so much! Hope you'll enjoy living there. If you like baseball, you cannot miss a game at Fenway Park! It's an awesome place!
  • "I" need friends to keep me focused. My modified Paleo diet has worked great for over a year but, lately I'm craving cakes, pies, cookies, and ice cream. It has to stop AND I have to get back on track with 3 days a week at Planet Fitness.
  • This is my first DAY with "MFP" and I hope I can be like David and brag about being here a week next Tuesday! I was able to stick with a modified Paleo diet for over a year but, lately I'm craving desserts (pies, cakes, cookies) and ice cream! I think it started with one dessert (after not having ANY for over a year) and…
  • Good for YOU and cutting back on the usual breakfast will inspire you to continue. I've been on a modified Paleo diet for over a year (no flour, no bread, no pasta, no sugar, no milk, no yogurt, no cheese, no sweets, no . no, no, and NO!! ) LOL What do I eat? I eat lots of veggies, lean meat/chicken/seafood/uncured bacon,…
  • Hi! I'm Sandy and I'm on a mission! My 55th class reunion will be in 2, 3, or 4 months and I want to be fit, toned, and awesome by then! It sounds stupid but, I only have a few pounds to lose but, sometimes losing 4 or 5 lbs is just as hard as losing 10 or 15.
