Damn I’ve gained weight

I’ve went from 46kg to 74kg in a year and I cannot stand the way that I look and need to shift a few kilos.
During lockdown I haven’t been able to go for walks as much and I’ve just been snacking a lot which I guess is the same for a lot of people.
I’m on a lot of medication that increases your appetite and I’m hoping for it to start being reduced soon.
I’m starting to cook my own food now as well so if anyone had any low calorie recipes I would appreciate it, I intend on logging everything in as well to figure out exactly how many calories I’m putting in, and I have a Fitbit so I can see how many steps I’ve done.
I don’t necessarily want to go down the “diet route”, I also had an eating disorder and I don’t want to go down that route either.
So any suggestions on what I can do to help would be much appreciated, thank you

I experienced something similar. As my marriage was ending, I packed on 40 pounds in a year. It was startling. Now I’m making my way back to myself. 22 pounds down so far. The only snacks I keep at home are the kind I can control myself around, so no more chips and hummus to be found here. I’ve tried moderating them, but failed too many times. I have no problem having just one piece of dark chocolate or just a 5 oz. glass of wine a day, so I still buy those things. Also check out the “Volume eaters” thread, the people posting there opened my eyes to keeping full while losing weight. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10563959/volume-eaters-thread And finally, my most precious weight loss tool: the kitchen scale. I weigh EVERYTHING that I put in my mouth and log it. Good luck on your journey. Stick around the forum and you can learn a lot. I did.2

Saying "Hi" to Irachel and Mithridites! I'm glad to see someone post TODAY with so many others from years ago!
During this COVID "stay home, stay safe," I've gained 15 lbs so, yesterday I said "Enough!" I love the ability to plug in the foods I eat during the day on this website and it kept me on track all day yesterday. Have either of you done that? Let's do this!! We CAN do it! Have a great day!1 -
Mithridites, I'm so sorry to hear your marriage is ending but, think positive! A new door will open for you and congrats on losing 22 pounds! THAT is awesome so, keep it going! I'll check the "Volume Eaters" for sure.1
