First of all, I applaud you for supporting your daughter in her choice. I also became vegetarian and then vegan as a teenager. My parents were very supportive. That was 20 years ago and I'm still vegan. It is important that she learns to cook her own food. As a vegan that is key. Hopefully you can help her with that. Now…

Quinoa is the first thing I would cling to. Maybe some nice quinoa salad with the veggies you can eat which seem to be carrot, celery, zucchini, etc.. Roasting those would make them delicious. Maybe put in some sunflower seeds and use lime juice as a dressing.

In america the chemical name for Tylenol is acetaminophen.

You can set it so it doesn't post losses to your wall.

I'm vegan, lactose, gluten, corn, and oat intolerant. People don't usually give me crap about politely saying no thank you.

Try stool softeners. Dulcolax makes some. Make sure it's stool softeners and not a laxative though.

First of all. Work on learning to like beans. They are great and provide a lot of protein to a vegan diet. Sometimes you just have to make yourself try things over and over until you like them. It's important not to eliminate even more things from your diet when you're vegan unless you have to. Thinking back here to what I…

Hi I'm vegan. I have no trouble getting my calories. In fact I gained all my weight while vegan. If you are having trouble add more beans, whole grains (rice, quinoa, etc), nuts, seeds, and of course fruit and veg. I find the cookbook Appetite For Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz very helpful for healthy easy recipes.…

Happy Herbivore has a similar meal planning service.

If you want the protein/fat/carb pie chart use the mobile app. It will show it to you via your food diary. But also, what she said. You're overthinking this. Just put your food into the diary.

I have ulcerative colitis so I totally understand. I usually take applesauce cups, hummus and rice crackers, and individual packs of snack olives (they are called oloves and I buy them on amazon). If you can handle nut butters you can buy little single serving packs of peanut or almond butter. Also along those lines are…

I lost 35 pounds on weight watchers using their points program and became a lifetime member. Loved that plan. The problem is that over time they change their plan so if you like using a certain plan but they have moved on you can no longer use their apps and such on the old plan. I find it ridiculous to be told that the…

You can slice it thin lengthwise and put it in lasagna, you can even skip the noodles if you have enough. Spiralize, julienne on a mandoline, or use a peeler to make long strips and use like spaghetti. Make stuffed zucchini. Roast it with other veggies and have roasted vegetable primavera. I love zucchini if you couldn't…

I do both food and medicine to treat my UC. I was already vegan long before diagnosis. My doctor says that is probably why it took so long for the disease to present itself. So I'm still vegan but now I also have to avoid gluten, corn, and oats. I'm also on Apriso, Canasa, and hydrocortisone enemas once a week. The enemas…

While technically this is true, the cup serving listed on packaging is including those air pockets in the measurement. Another reason why weighing is more accurate.

I don't think the people telling you to eat less looked at your diary. Definitely eat the calories that MFP tells you to eat, including your exercise calories, particularly if you are actually overestimating food and underestimating exercise.

I think that particular goal has more to do with gaining muscle than strictly losing weight. Also like VickiZei said Jillian is a very petite person and I think I heard her say on her podcast she's around 110-115 and that includes a lot of muscle.

They do.

The things that have worked for me are 1) Prescription orthotics 2) Physical therapy 3) Bikram yoga (other yoga would probably work too but the heat seemed to help)

Hi I'm Holly. I've been vegan for 16 years. It's been a long time but I got there because I was already a lactose intolerant vegetarian and it seemed a logical move. I was inspired to be vegetarian by Paul and Linda McCartney.

Isn't tamari also gluten free.

I started around 152 and have lost an average of a little less than a pound a week over about 10 weeks.

Welcome! I'm also a WW refugee. I got sick of having to change the tools I learned to maintain my weight every few years. Calorie counting doesn't change the way WW does which is what I need.

I'm finding it helps to not make it completely about the number on the scale but to make the goal to be fit and exercise regularly.

Not me I finally felt like I could fully do level 1 and moved on to level 2. I will now be going back to level 1. All of the movements involving plank position in the level 2 workout are just killer for me and I can't do it yet.

For both I would make sure you are cleaning the chest strap after every use and also wetting it before use. It sounds like you aren't getting a good read from the transmitter.

Aside from the standard Mrs Dash (which I use) you can get something called Also Salt. It's potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride but is essentially salt.

I generally use it on lasagna. Fabulous!

The point of the 1200 calories is that is the minimum number to be able to fit enough NUTRITION into your diet. You need to be eating food with all the macro and micro nutrients your body needs and not filling it up on sugary drinks.
