I agree w/ the ladies above. I have 5lb weights and while I've noticed an improvment in my upperbody strength from doing this video, as I've advanced levels the weights have almost become too much. I'd buy a 3lb and a 5lb set. But it really depends on where you are at now, and what feels best to you.

a piggy back off this questions... I just started to 30 day shred, but I'm not sure how to log the exercise since i'm not for certain how many calories i've burned. Any suggestions? What have you guys done?

I'm no health expert, but I have read a lot about dieting and taken a nutrition class once upon a time, and it really is not healthy for your body if you are consuming less than 1200 cal/day ESPECIALLY if you are working out like crazy.
