  • It is a success story and goes to show how hard we are on ourselves. I think it is almost tougher when you are used to being tiny and wearing small sizes. Congrats to you and maybe this woman is right, I notice women tend to look older when they are super lean especially in their face so if she is still rocking in her 50's…
  • I think it is still a work in progress I still find myself looking at clothing that is 4 sizes too big, and then I get anxious when I grab the correct size for fear it won't fit. I like the yoga, belly dancing idea, that is great. I keep a before photo out on my fridge as a reminder of how far I have come, that helps keep…
  • I switched to Green Tea, been 28 days off the diet coke, sad I know. My skin looks a lot better, and my abs are more defined so it is true even diet soda bloats you. I can't say I will abstain forever but it is worth cutting back.
  • I struggle with my addiction to Diet Coke as well, I am very fond of fountain Diet Coke that is my true vice. I gave it up for lent, cold turkey and honestly my skin has never looked better, and I feel great. I really hope I licked this one for good. I make pitchers of Green Tea and drink it on ice. I really like it and I…
  • Crackers of any kind they are my weakness especially Wheat Thins, and Cheese Its!
  • Oatmeal, thomas whole grain english muffins and mini-bagels, la tortilla factory wraps, other whole grains sweet potatoes, quinoa, brown rice, fruit? I struggle with carbs too tend to follow the lean protein/South Beach format, but have found they do help keep your energy up. You will hear Tony's quotes in your sleep as you…
  • As of Friday my husband and I are officially P90X graduates. I am very pleased with my results I didn't drop a lot of weight only 3lbs but I have more definition in my arms, triceps, back, and legs, clothes are looser and I just feel great. It really changed my whole fitness philosophy. I bought the p90X plus and plan to…
  • You can enjoy anything in moderation. I often say I work-out so hard and really watch what I eat so that I can enjoy the finer things like beer & cheese my absolute favorite combo in the world:drinker: :drinker: In moderation of course!
  • Jess did 5 rounds of P90X and I am excited to finish 1. Impressive!!!! Friday the 27th I am officially done. I know I will incorporate a lot of the routines into my work-outs and I think I will do a full round in the Winter. It really is a great way to mix things up when you are stuck indoors. Good luck everyone.

  • I just finished week 11 yesterday and today on my off day I went for a run. I have been following the classic version to try and wean myself from too much cardio. I have to say P90X has done something for my endurance because I ran my usual 5 miles and barely broke a sweat I felt I could have kept going and going. Some…

  • I really believe our bodies have a comfortable "weight". I got down to my all time low weight for my wedding 2.5 years ago and always have that as my target, but just can't seem to get there. I still stay active, work-out, watch my diet and struggle with 5lbs. My husband always tells me my body is comfortable where I am…
  • I gave it up for a couple months and found it very freeing but also found myself indulging a bit more so I am back to once a week. I figure a weekly check in is much healthier than daily, and I always do it on Fridays to give myself encouragment to behave over the weekend. Good luck, it really can be a battle for some of…
  • You won't bulk up, and best of all you will suprise yourself at what you can do. I never thought I could do half of this stuff. My shoulders look amazing I can't wait to wear sleeveless tops, that is the part I have noticed most improvement on. I am sure everyone is different.

  • Boca chili, 150 calories and 20 grams of protein filling, and easy.
  • I think P90 is much more fun with a partner. Many days my hubby was my rock to keep me going, and if we don't do it together he always asks me if I brought it today? Jes thanks for all your help and tips with this process. I am in week 10 and planning life after P90X my goal is to keep up with the weights, and pick up my…

  • I cracked up reading everyone's comments on the yoga. I have to break it up because I don't have 90 minutes available at 1 time, so I do the first part in the morning the balance section after work. It helps me to break it up, and I find the balance section relaxes me after work.

  • You won't have time to eat much at your wedding so my best advice is enjoy the tastings. Good luck! How exciting and fun.
  • That he loves you for being you:smile:
  • Yesterday was day 60 for me and the results are astounding. I have always been pear shaped let's just say that is drastically changing. Keep at it everyone you will see results. I am camera shy but will post a before and after at day 90.

  • Scrambled egg whites, canadian bacon, and english muffins make it into my rotation a couple times a month. Super easy, and healthy if you buy lean canadian bacon and thomas multigrain english muffins.
  • Hey Jess, have you tried the P90X extreme? I ordered it yesterday to try after phase 3. Just curious.

  • I have to admit I used to make myself crazy with the scale, so part of my committment to P90 was to only weigh in and take measurements once a month. I lost 2 lbs month 1, and will weigh in on the 27th for month 2. I will let you know how it goes, but can say I feel so good and strong I am not concerned about the scale. I…

  • We got the bar from beach body and it works great in a door way. My hubby and I are on week 7 and love, love, love the program. Plyo is a burner OMG! I wasn't the biggest fan of the yoga and even that has grown on me.

  • I agree the 100 cal snack packs are usually awful. I was craving a Little Debbie Nutty Bar gave in and bought one and it tasted terrible, I haven't had one in years so sometimes wasted calories are a good thing because you realize how much your taste has improved:smile:
  • Snow shoeing for 60 minutes burns around 480 believe it or not and is fun and gets you some fresh air. Rollar blading is similar calorie wise.
