I also have the Polar HRM with the chest strap and it is the best investment I have ever made. It might have been a little more expensive but I figured that my health was worth the investment! You also need to remember that as you lose weight, you go in and adjust your settings so that the readings are accurate. :)

I actually have the same HRM as you do and tend to burn roughly 330 cal in 30 minutes BUT my heart rate is a lot higher. On the days that I don't push myself as hard, I do notice that I burn approx what you did.

Thank you so much for posting this! Your start and goal weight are similar to mine. You carried your weight differently at 190 than I do :( but this is very inspiring! I don't know that I will lose that much in 8 months but this is going to make me work harder for sure! Congratulations on your success!!

I have been here for about 90 days or so and in that time I have lost about 12 lbs. I am basically on par with how much you are losing. I have the Polar FT6 and it is amazing. I always thought that I would have a problem with the chest strap but I actually forget that I have it on. It was very easy to set up and use and really was affordable. Hope you find one you like!

Good luck! Weekends are also my hardest time because I find I eat breakfast too late, then don't eat lunch and I love to cook so I splurge when I have the time to do so. It will get easier! :smile:
