I'm here to be your cheerleader and tell you that you can do it. Take your time, make some good sensible meal plans and healthy choices. Allow yourself to have a treat now and then. Get exercise, but you needn't go overboard. As I said, you can succeed. I was 210 pounds, and I got down to 128....and I'm just under 5' tall.

Oh bosh. I have an occasional diet ginger ale fora treat...only 35mg of sodium. I drink maybe 4 cups of coffee a day. Black. And. oh yeah....I smoke, too.

Honestly? I don't know. All I do know is what works for me....I eat SMALL portions, never take seconds. I eat around 1000 calories a day. I don't eliminate any food groups....except meat, poultry and fish...I'm a vegetarian. For exercise I walk, and use my 5# hand weights. That's about it. I've gone from 210 pounds to 128,…

I weigh every day. I like to keep myself aware of just what's going on....I'm really controlling!! I record once a week, though.

I'm 4'11" and weigh 128. I look very slim. If I weighed 100 or 95 or whatever, I'd look terrible and I'd be sick. I'm 68, by the way.

Hi. I'd love to have your recipe for Brussels Sprouts. I eat them often. I'd eat eggs if they came from free range hens. As to posting, I only come here for my vegan/vegetarian views. I go to the main boards for general weight loss things.

Well, hello! Don't despair....you can do this. I'm about your height, and I was 210 pounds 3 years ago. I'm now down to 128. A very important thing to do is to learn portion control. (and no seconds!). Have steamed or grilled vegetables, or raw if you like. Lean protein....fish, chicken...grilled or broiled.

Incorporate healthy foods into your diet...lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, lean protein. Learn portion control and don't take seconds! Drink lots of water. Get some exercise every day....I just walk, and this works fine for me. I've lost 80 pounds, and am hoping to lose another 5-10.
