9. Very nice. I would like to add... Smoking hot. Obviously you work hard.

Sorry for the confusion. I wrote that simply because it had a better melody to it than 34% to 9%. 4 and 34 rhyme. I was at 34% body fat. When I got tested last I was at 9% body fat, but it doesn't have the same "ring" to it. I should have clarified. And the method I use is weight, neck, waist measurements with the Army…

Okey dokey. Here is my 2 cents. 1) You are doing great. Listen to your body. 2) Don't listen to people that are telling you that you are over training. Are you injured? Are you burning too many calories? If not then you are fine. I train anywhere from 2 to 8 hours per day. Not a typo (in the Army, so not always my choice…

Thanks everyone. My wife is on here as well. She is maintaining while I am away. Her screen name is clong1985. I am sure she would love any support.

I have done all the same tests as you have. I am in the Army currently. A 15:42 run for 2 miles is great. Actually, it looks like you are doing great across the board.I don't know the stats exactly, but it looks like for the Female category you are in the top 10% for everything. Again, I am not sure about this (since I am…

Hmmmm. Just to compare. I am 202lbs. I have been running for some time. My last Army Physical assesment (about 2 weeks ago) I ran 2 miles in 15 minutes exactly. That's 7:30 mile. That is considered over the 80th percentile. Now, I am heavy (weight lifter mostly) but I run almost every day and bike on the weekends. My body…

Usually 1 or no days off. I listen to my body and sometimes have to take a couple of days off in a row. For example, I have been working out quite a bit over the last 2 months. My body is telling me that I cannot progress right now without injury. Luckily I am going away for 4 days and will be unable to work out. The last…

Sorry to disagree again, but cardio burns lean muscle because it is an aerobic exercise. You will not immediately burn glycogen and fat, your body will burn lean muscle FIRST. Glycogen is the last item in your body to get burned. This is why a routine with both cardio and weight training is the best answer. Common…

Sorry to disagree, but cardio actually burns lean muscle.

http://www.notyouraveragefitnesstips.com/beginners-workouts/aerobic-vs-anaerobic-exercise-low-intensity-vs-high-intensity Check out this link. They lay it out nicely. Basically we are talking about the difference between aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise. One using oxygen for endurance and burning fat, and the other…

Gotta fuel your body when doing that much exercise. Sounds counterintuitive, but I eat back my exercise calories and I lost 62 pounds. In order to keep burning, you gotta put in the gas. Good luck.

Exercise will boost your metabolism. Also eating multiple meals a day. Obviously don't eat 5 one thousand calorie meals, but space out smaller meals.

Not sure if this question was directed at me but I thought I would answer it just the same. I am a former weight lifter who fell out of the game for a few years. Below is my current gym routine. Good luck. Sunday: 6-13 Mile run Monday: 2-2.5 mile run then 90 minutes Chest and Triceps finish with 10 minutes on stairs…

I would suggest more protein in your diet. MFP underestimates your normal needs. And protein will help your hunger. Good luck.

This is a great idea. We are actually doing that today.

Sounds like lactic acid buildip, which means you are doing it correctly. Does it feel like you are "feeling the burn"? I always say, listen to your body.

I posted a while back on this same forum, but I have an update. Great job everyone.

Sorry to hear of your situation. While I cannot claim to be in the same situation as you I can tell you that my wife and I shop the sales. I know it sounds silly, but we shop the sales and buy more during the sales and use it for a couple of weeks. For example, I was at shaws the other day and they had ALL chicken on sale…

If you are just getting into running or getting back into running I have found that running everyday caused leg problems for me. I started feeling the shin splints coming on and stopped. I gave them time to heal (which isn't just a couple of days). Then I started a routine of running some days, biking some days, and…

Do you have your settings set to active lifestyle?

14:48 is awesome. You would be over 100% in the Army physical fitness test for that category. Great work.

Below is my routine. Somedays I will do 7 days during the week if I feel that I didn't give it my all. Above all you need to listen to your body. If your body is telling you to rest, then you should. Don't confuse this with normal muscle soreness, but if you are actually hurt or injured, then it is time for a break. You do…

MFP underestimates the amount of protein you should have. If you are working out or lifting weights on a regular basis you should have 1 - 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. Basically, don't worry about going over.
