If you stay at Dolphin, Swan hotels, Boardwalk, Beachclub, Yachtclub - there's a walkway between "France" and "UK" in world showcase (aka Epcot) - that you can enter/exit Epcot to the hotels. It's about 1/2 mile walk from them to the entrance. And, there's a walkway from them to Hollywood Studios. From the Boardwalk, it's…

I just got a "You've lost a lot of weight haven't you?" "You look good".

I walked Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios this morning - and it's only about 1/2 mile. You could easily take a leisurely stroll from France in World Showcase, past Boardwalk, to Hollywood Studios and it's not even a full mile.

The only "vice" I have left is coffee ... I drink it black now. It's a lot easier to order & fix ...

Sort of. I get checkups every 6 months. Last visit was Nov. He always says, lose weight & exercise. That's what I'm doing. :) I'm planning on contacting him Jan (before next scheduled visit) & discuss diet plan, weight loss, blood work, continuing med's at same level, or not.

I'm diabetic (TypeII), and was 100Lbs. overweight. I'm down 25lbs from 260. My calorie goal is 1000Kcal. I want to lose weight, and get to normal BMI and off diabetes med's.

I take it you're "chained" to your desk? Here's a couple ideas:* Take stairs. * Walk the long way to the bathroom. * Take "smoking" breaks - walk around the building. * Walk the long way to the break room. * Stand and stretch at desk. * Sit on one of those big balls? (I haven't done that). * Park as far away as you…

carry your favorite fruit with you.

Fresh food isn't as subsidized by the US Govt. as corn is. Therefore, corn is "cheap" and made into HFC - high fructose corn syrup which is a sweetener for EVERYTHING.

Everybody beat me to it ... good job!

When I was diagnosed with diabetes, my nutritionist told me that artificial sweetners are invisible to the body, nutrition wise. She said that if you're a sweet/sugar addict, that the sweet taste prolongs your addiction - does not help to wean your brain off the sweet taste. Other than that, she said they're fine. I'm a…

As a diabetic, fruit juices are a big no-no, because they're basically liquid sugar (nutritionally). They have to have some caloric impact, but more than that they are comparatively huge on the carb scale (glycemic index).

Either log it as an recipe, with one ingredient at a time, or just log the ingredients seperately as normal - and save it as a meal, so if you do it again in the future, it's easy to add it.

Agree. I value my time too much to try to read that ... stuff.

Phera - that wreck, the Kittiwake, was purposefully sunk as an artificial reef / dive destination - and made extremely friendly to divers with lots of entry/exits, lots of light zone etc. it's not what one would normally consider a "wreck" - I would not enter a "real" wreck, but this one has only been down for 10 months,…

I'm finding mine too ... and rib cage!

About exercising ... I started out about 100lbs overweight - so not as big of a challenge, but not a small one either. Starting out, I couldn't run even a 1/2 mile without wheezing, wanting to die, wanting to quit. I did something a little less ambitious, and just started walking. I use runkeeper.com app on my Android…

For portion control - one thing I've heard of is to find those plates, tupperware containers, etc that are divided into sections. Usually it's in 1/2 - with one big one, and the other half in half again - so 2 smaller sections. Then, if you want to get really crazy ... the big section is for vegetables. The smaller ones…

Couple of suggestions - some of these might be duplicates: 1. Obviously, get professional help - if you can. 2. If you can't afford #1, don't have insurance - look for some kind of local over-eaters anonymous type support group. 3. If you can't find #2, save the 2nd and 3rd serving food costs and join Weight Watchers -…

Welcome Y'all. :)

Before, I would go for a "Grilled stuffed steak Buritto" - 820 Calories AND/or a "healthy" Taco Salad 770 Calories. Now I can eat about 200 Calories there, and resist all the posters of the XX:L Burrito. Progress. :)

Congratulations! That's great!
