+1 this was what I came to post. I noticed you have V8 splash in your food diary a few days ago. Is it the diet version? That has splenda. I went through these symptoms for 3-4 months back in 2005 and it took me that long to figure out it was Splenda doing it to me. Also, it could be from the fish oil as well.

I did 3 rounds of it in 2006-07 and had great results. The nutrition plan is key.

I am doing NROL4W now, I started with a friend in May and we just began Stage 3 this week. I have lost 8 pounds and an inch or so from my waist, it is definitely working. I sorta follow the nutrition plan (target around 1700 calories per day and try to eat a lot of protein). I did Body for Life for about 9 months before I…

I am finishing up Stage 2 this week, I started the program in May with one of my friends. I did not start noticing changes in my body until after Stage 1. So far I have lost 7 pounds and a few inches around my waist, my clothes are definitely getting looser, and pushups are getting easier. Yes, the prone jacknife…

Gotta agree.

I've been a member of this since 2006 and have both the Bronze ad Silver awards. It's a cool program!

My nutritionist gave me this advice also. This is a basic diet plan for diabetics (I am not, just needed some professional advice). Been following this a bit over 2 weeks and lost 4.5 pounds. She did take my weight and activity level into consideration as well.

Alwyn is awesome! I am doing New Rules of Lifting for Women now for the second time. Love it!!!!

I second this suggestion. You may find if you ask around that someone has it lying around and will either loan it to you (without having to ask multiple times lol) or sell it to you on the cheap. If you are really on a budget you will probably want to start with resistance bands rather than dumbbells. ETA: I agree with…

+1 I also have a workout buddy, we meet at the gym around 5:15, this has made a big difference for me on the days when I really DON'T feel like going. I don't want to let her down. I've also found that once I get into the early morning groove my body gets used to it. Even on my "days off" I still wake up at 4:45.…

If you are looking for a routine completely laid out for you, I would suggest "New Rules of Lifting for Women." My friend and I are doing these workouts now (this is my second go at this book, I got pregnant the first time I was doing it and had to give it up) and they are AWESOME!

Interesting article but just wanted to point out that it's nothing new or groundbreaking...the story is 4 years old.

I have had one since January and love it. The free reports offered on the website are really great. I did do a free week of the advanced reporting but haven't made the plunge yet to purchase a year of it ($50). For the amount of features offered, I think FitBit is definitely worthwhile. I like that it is much less…

I would wonder first about dehydration. Some days are just better than others, don't let it get you down.

I used to make mine in a yogurt maker (using skim milk + powdered milk) but I prefer my yogurt really thick and the time invested in making it plus straining it for such a small amount of end product just wasn't worth it for me. Seemed like I was making yogurt every other day. I went back to store-bought yogurt.

I've tried Optimum Nutrition as well as Dymatize Elite Whey and they are both good but this time I wanted something without artificial sweeteners. I ordered a custom blend mix of vanilla flavored whey protein isolate with stevia on trueprotein.com

+1 to all this. I love my FitBit for all the reasons mentioned. I do enter into the food diary there, but only put my final data in from MFP when I close it out at the end of the day. Old habits die hard though and I do still use my HRM when I work out. It's really not necessary but I've used one for so long that I just…

Ok I know which DVD it is you have, it is basically the first one. I would look at some additional TJ DVDs first. TF is a pretty big step up from TJ (coordination and speed-wise), I think you would benefit from Cardio Party 2 and 3 as well as Punch, Kick and Jam. I bought all my DVDs from either Amazon or eBay.

I think it might depend on what your goals are. Is there a reason you would want a women-only gym? I go to a regular gym (only $10/mo though, great deal). I've belonged there for several years and never had any issues with the fact that there are guys there. They are polite and don't ogle (not outwardly, anyway) and can…

If you like the workouts and Chalene, then yes. TF is like a jacked up version of TJ. Do you have more than just the DVDs you mentioned? Sounds like you might be bored. There are additional TJ DVDs you can purchase, Cardio Party 2 and 3, Punch Kick & Jam, and others.

I had a steroid shot a year ago to clear up an upper respiratory infection. IIRC my doc said they can cause sleep issues, sounds like that's what you may be dealing with. Hopefully after a few more days your body will be back to normal?

When I was a SAHM I either did it when she napped, or early AM before she woke (usually around 5, she's an early riser :frown: ). There's no way I could exercise with DD underfoot either, LOL, so I feel your pain.

I agree with previous posters, I think it will just take some tinkering to get your routine down? Do you get side stitches at all? I do if I have eaten close to running, I also run at 5:30am and always do it on an empty stomach, otherwise I get side stitches.

Holly, I sent you a friend request. And on here as well.

I had MBTs, they were $200 down the drain and gave me blisters. Waste of money!

DH and I have been following DR for 3.5 years. It has changed our life and I am so thankful we found it early in our marriage (only a few months in). We started with TMMO and went through FPU later. We expect to be finished with BS2 this year, which will free us of 101k in debt. :blushing: We have had many roadblocks over…

Crossfit posts a new workout every day, most of it is stuff you need minimal equipment for, too! http://www.crossfit.com/

if you feel too overwhelmed, just start with baby steps. Set some small goals, I'd suggest just trying to get all your food logged every day for a few weeks, don't worry so much about whether you are hitting your calorie goal. Once you master measuring and weighing your food, then work on hitting your daily calorie goal.…
