I tried counting calories before; that's not for me. Here are my tips: Focus on portion size and paying attention to the differences between bored hunger, stressed hunger and actual hunger. Incorporate more high nutrient, high fiber veggies and fruits while decreasing foods with empty calories and little to no nutrients.…

Chicken leg, eggs and side salad for breakfast. Not shown is a banana soy smoothie. This will probably last me until dinner!

It's hard to fail at something if you had no intention to succeed from the beginning. I ate what I liked and I was a very stressed girl so I'm kinda easy on myself.

I learned that when I'm hungry in between meals, that means I didn't eat enough in my last meal or I didn't eat filling foods. e.g. rice, veggies, and meat is way more filling than a bowl of oatmeal, milk, and fruit in the morning. If you really want to stop snacking, you'll have to reevaluate what you're eating for your…

Simple meal because I was in a rush! Tomato rice, broccoli, eggs.

Leftovers!

Oatmeal cooked in soy milk and peanut butter with a whole banana. Because I was hungry and craved oatmeal. :|

Vegetarian! Coconut cream mashed potato and 4 bean vegetable soup. :#

I usually slow bake them and then eat them during hikes or as a regular snack.

To make a smoothie extra sweet without adding juice or sweetener, I like to blend dried dates with a bit of water first until frothy and then add the rest of the fruit or vegetables and liquid. For a hearty type of smoothie, you can grind 1-2 tbsp of dried oatmeal, seeds, nuts or cereal before adding your fruits/liquid. I…

Sriracha sauce. :) It adds extra ZING to my rolls. Hmm mine doesn't get very chewy. Must be different type of nori!

Soylent Green flashbacks! :o What kind of drink is this??

Vegetarian breakfast.

Quick small lunch. Cabbage rolls stuffed with ground turkey and X marks the homemade avocado sushi. :D

I like their corn chile salsa, endives, and pre-made salads. Yum... Their frozen cherry berry packages are great for making smoothies! They have goat milk too which is thicker and tastes so much better than cows milk, imo. I love TJ's. :)

Made cabbage rolls for the first time ever, yay!!

Sour cream and onion potato chips!

I never really understood this either. Sometimes, the food even tastes bland but it still has 1000+ mg of sodium, which doesn't really make sense to me.

Haven't eaten anything that has made me gag before... Well outside of the bedroom of course :#

It's basically restricting your breakfast so that you can eat more later. Nothing special... You don't have to eat a banana to do this.

When my dad was too lazy to cook anything, he'd take a baguette, smear laughing cow cheese on it, sprinkle on some sugar, then toasted it in the oven and gave that to me for lunch. Hardly nutritional but tasted like heaven...

Never been there. All these people butt hurt over me saying their pizza is fast food. Of course it's fast food--you buy it when you're too busy to make it and you consume without the effort of cooking! And then of course there are the low quality kinds and the high quality kinds.

That's interesting. I don't really crave rice. My family eats it everyday but I can go weeks without it if I want. Try to eat other types of carbs and see if that helps. Like sweet potatoes or bananas which have good fiber for digestion and slower absorption.
-
It's "fast" because it's premade with low quality ingredients and you buy it and eat it quickly.

Food should not come before family. It's a reunion; it doesn't happen often so just let go a little on the strict dieting. Even it out the next day if you must. That and think about how they would feel seeing one person eat their own stuff they brought from home? It's a mini insult and they'll just stare at you and…

Kix cereal has 45% of daily iron needs in 1 and 1/4 cup for only 110 calories... I increase my iron intake only before and during my period and this cereal really helps with the blood flow and cramps! That and canned sardines or oysters has quite a lot of iron too. Usually seafood in general has lots of iron.

Any type of fructose (HFCS, sugar, etc) as one of its main top ingredients, hydrogenated fats/oils, "natural flavors," food colors. The less ingredients, the more I am inclined to buy the product. Generally though, I won't buy it unless I know all the ingredients.

Lots of work, lots of cheese and herbs but overall, tasted great to me. It's a very thin crust though. Just try it to see if you like it. There's no harm in experimenting with food!

A ratio of 50% vegetables, 30% cheese, and 20% meat for me!
