Since going KETO those uncontrollable urges for sugar are GONE G-O-N-E Gone!!!!!! Sugar is as addictive as heroin (I kid you not) Now I limit my daily carbs to less than 15% (about 60 g. or 3 Oz.) mostly from veggies and a little fruit. But I eat a ton on good fats. Like coconut oil, olive oil, avocados and such. Lost 30…

Just like alcohol, coke, etc. Just a question of quantity and frequency. Just look at the number of diabetics and the pounds of sugar consumed.

Sugar is absolutely toxic.

I'm going Ketogenic and its working great for me.

Look into Keto. For me thats the fastest easiest diet. Main thing is cut carbs. NO sugar, rice, potato, bread (or very little) My avg meal: Piece of meat, chicken or fish and a boatload of veggies small serving of Berry type fruit. K.I.S. If you eat this you rarely have to measure.

Yes, but it would take Antarctica in the winter in my skivvies.

PS if you look at sprinters in the 100 yard dash youll see they are very muscular, cut and defined. While marathoners are very thin and lack muscle tone. BOTH however have very little fat.

Heres the skinny on adding muscle and losing fat: To put on muscle you need to eat a lot. To lose weight you need to eat less. For advanced body builders they eat a lot when strength training to add muscle. Then before their shows they cut carbs mostly to cut. However for the average Joe or Jane strength training (lifting…

Food is the most addictive thing you can imagine. You cant just quit cold turkey like drugs or alcohol. Bottom line is if doesnt want to lose weight himself, he probably won't. There is very little you can do. Try to encourage him is about all. I hope this doesnt have an unhappy ending. Good luck to both of you. Jim

Try this: 4 Days a week 3 evenly spaced 400 cal meals (1200 per day), 2 Days a week 4 evenly spaced 400 cal meals (1600 per day) and 1 Day per week 5 evenly spaced 400 cal meals (2000 per day). Total for week is 10000 cal. Mix the different cal days randomly, just make sure you follow the cal totals. Easiest way is to add…

I wonder what the record is for pre- and post-poop weighings?

I also pre-journal. I find it an excellent way to plan my day and check on calories and nutrients. I tweak my entries till I get the right mix of calories from protein, fat and carbs then try to stick as close to my plan as possible. It works for me.

Can you eat Muffins?

OK from my own experience-You need to trick your body into losing fat. The best way to do this is by cycling (not bicycling) your diet. Firstly your calories are so low your body thinks its starving and will stubbornly hold every bit of fat it can. Heres what you need to do-Every two weeks switch between a very low calorie…

No more excuses! You know what you have to do. Pretty simple really, eat right and exercise. Not so hard once you make up your mind to do it!
