I'm 5'11" as well and my goal is to lose 80 this year. I've broke it up into 20lbs every three months. It's very attainable and its not pushing too hard. But If you want to add me as a friend for support I'm here.

Feel free to add me. I'm on and posting everyday.

My overall goal is to lose 80lbs this year without doing any fad dieting. Just simple eating right and exercising. I broke it into 4 goals: 20lbs every 3 months. I figure that's very realistic and attainable. I could definately use all the support I can get.

Yes it's the same scale. Its digital; however, the scale is probably 7 years old (about as old as my first child). Ummm, I wonder how often we should replace our scales.

I was on a shrimp fest last week myself. I didn't think about that. But I do a mix of BodyPump, Hip Hop Abs, joogging, and Step. I don't eat back my calories. I feel eating back the calories defeats the purpose.

I am about 6 weeks in. I know the body flucuates and I'm used to seeing a half a pound to a pound here and there, but I've never seen a 3lb increase in one week. Yes it is truly bothering me.

I'm currently doing Herbalife shakes for breakfast. From what I hear they are close in comparison with Shakeology. The shake by itself is very bland, but I blend it up with the Dole frozen fruit blends (they cost about 2 to 3 dollars at Walmart) and silk vanilla milk. Its amazing how yummy it makes them. It takes me less…

Well lets just be real here. Its a slaughter house. Whether for a fast food joint vs a supermarket. A slaughter house is a slaughter house. Since when is killing an animal not inhumane? LOL. ijs....

You'd be surprised. I"ve been in this scenario plenty of times before. I have two kids under the age of five, we are all hungry, and we have a 45 minute drive home through the country. You ever ride in a car with two hungry kids for 45 minutes? Ever try stopping at a grocery store with two hungry toddlers. LOL. Yeah I'm…

Good idea. Protein or meal replacement bars are good to have on hand. The issue with me would be finding one I actually enjoy eating.
Sounds like a lot of fun. Go out. Enjoy yourself. It's one night, in the grand scheme of things it won't make much difference. Eat some good food, meet/bond with some new people, knock back a few shots (or have a few glasses of vino)... don't be a debbie downer.
LOL that would usually be a normal Friday…

I was thinking just that. Maybe even pack up half as soon as it comes out.

LMAO. That's how I feel. Such a love/hate relationship with me and my scale.

30....will be 31 in two weeks. I swear i think the body is programmed to hold on to weight longer and harder as soon as you hit 30. LOL.
-
oh me me me me me. lol I am right there with you. I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old who demand every second of my time and a full time job that follows me home on most days. working out is a challenge for me. I remember seeing something on instagram that said weight loss is 80% diet and 20% workouts. So I try to stay…

Don't look at celebrities for weight loss motivation. Most of the time their situations are unrealistic compared to normal life. They have personal cooks, trainers, income to afford some of the weight loss luxuries that we don't have. Find your personal motivation. What drives you? What are you trying to accomplish and…

I've sworn off alcohol as well. I find that when I do give it up the weight loss is easier. I do have to admit its hard for me. I'm a wine lover, usually one glass before bed about 4-5 days a week (yeah I know...lol). But I'm going cold turkey for 12 weeks and then see how it goes from there. But I'm with you. Feel free to…
