I turned it to dominant so it takes more to register a step, I love my fitbit but if you move your hands a lot it's going to count it as something. Inherent tradeoff in the design.

Are you measuring and weighing?
-
I used to be consistently over 3000 but since I moved and have a kitchen I stick to around 2000-2300. It depends on what I eat that day and sometimes I won't suspect the sodium count until I log it later, once I week I get Popeyes though and then I'll be 3000+ and gain two pounds of water weight.

Looking at some bagged sweet potato fries a serving is 18 @ 150 calories, I'd guesstimate that would be about 600-700 calories.

Hooters gets built up as this horrible place but the outfit isn't anything like tilted kilt or twin peaks so not sure what the fuss is about. Food is pretty much average as well, people rave about the wings but eh.

Pretty much like the others say, try and guess based on what you know. Yesterday I had a meatball parm sub for dinner at a local place and used the subway one for reference with a note that sodium wasn't really that high.

A 4 piece nugget and a ceasar side salad with half a dressing and no croutons is a pretty good lunch.

I eat out everyday and as long as you watch the sodium and calories you're fine. I used to hit Chick Fil A all the time until I saw their sodium count, I miss my chickn minis. I couldn't do a diet where I couldn't eat out.

I've been getting it a lot from 7-11 and a couple times from McDonalds these past few months. Last week I hit DD for the first time in a long time and was just about floored by how heavy it was.

I have my flex on my non-dominant hand but switched the setting to dominant to cut down on some errant steps and I'm happy with it. I do have to say though that everything I've from fitbit about the flex says you will get some errant steps from hand movement and not to assume it will be 100% accurate.

I use the app a lot so I noticed it changed for me yesterday evening, I agree they prettied it up and slowed it down. I'll get used to this one as well but I was quite happy with the old version.

I have people tell me that I don't need to lose weight, it's normal for guys to be a little over. Considering I'm about 40 over the average for my height I think I need to keep moving down.

I have a fitbit flex and happy with it. It doesn't track stairs, cycling or other things like that but for what it does I like it and probably going to buy one for my mom.

Yeah, I recently had a physical and blood work that came back completely normal so I don't worry if I go a little over. It's the days when I go back and see 5000mg that I want to avoid. That and think it's causing some water retention, I have a day or two with low sodium and that's when I see my weight loss. As for the…

I decided to check out the main site after reading that, wow is about all I can say. Just about every bad science piece ever thought up in one place. Edit: in response to this http://www.wnho.net/soft_drinks_hard_facts.pdf

I went to a new doctor for weight loss help before I buckled down and got my fitibt and started here. He didn't ask about my eating habits or anything else, just started in on Herbalife and gave me an order sheet. After I left I looked it up and never went back.

Corndog! Probably belongs on both lists.

I had two teeth taken out about a month ago (one wisdom), the dentist saw my fitbit and told me just to not doing anything that day. The next day I was back up to my normal 6-7 miles walking and hiking.
