  • I think it's a great idea. If I ever get pregnant again I will definitely use it. It's so important during pregnancy to eat healthy and sometimes it helps to see what you've eaten so you know what to improve and to make sure you are getting the important nutrients for pregnancy. With my last baby I didn't know about this…
  • Some things I like to freeze are- Meatloaf ( use fave recipe, can cook frozen or thawed), spaghetti sauce w/ meat, Chicken or beef pot pie, chili, any soup or stew (i don't care for potatoes out of the freezer so those i usually leave out.) meatballs, egg roll filling, stir fry (cooked and thrown together, freeze rice…
  • I'm slumping too. I'm not seeing results as quickly as I like and I just keep thinking "all this work for 3 pounds lost?! All this obsessing over food and calories and fat and protein and carbs for 3 pounds?!?! I know i'm on the right track but somedays I feel like it's not worth it. Sometimes I just want to go back to…
  • Well, I usually have close to 100 grams a day so I hope not!! lol
  • I also like recipezaar.com. It's not specifically a healthy recipe website but they have healthy recipes on there. I just do searches using the words "low fat" or "light". Cookinglight.com is another good one.

  • i like to use it in the most obvious way....spaghetti.
  • I think that rice milk tastes the closes to "real" milk. Whole Foods store brand, 365, makes an awesome unsweetened rice milk that is super low cal and low carb. Rice Dream tastes ok but compared to whole foods brand nutritionally it's not as good. Both are in the database here.
  • Welcome to MFP!! This is an awesome place! Good luck.

  • Season trimmed pork tenderloin with roast beef seasoning(i know...strange...but good  ) and pepper. Put in crock pot w/ sliced onions and chunked peeled potatoes and a bit of water. Cook on high 3-4 hrs. Steamed broccoli florets on the side. You can make gravy w/ the drippings if you want. 285-300 calories and about…

  • I react badly to sucralose and aspartame. Aspartame=headaches suralose=repiratory difficulties and wheezing. Artificial sweeteners aren't healthy anyways. You should try stevia. It is 100% natural and 0 calories I believe.
  • I'm just not a very patient person! lol It's been a month already. I'm supposed to look like a supermodel already! :)
  • I drink a ton of water. Usually 9-12 glasses a day. I haven't noticed a drop in milk supply when I drop my calories or anything. ebf stands for exclusively breastfed. She has had problems digesting food so that's why I have just now started her on solids. But she is mostly breastfeeding. Thanks!
  • Soak 1lb of beans( navy, great northern are my faves but you can do pinto or black also.) overnight or do a quick soak. Drain. Add 4-8 C fresh water. (depending on how thick or thin you like it. I like it thick so I start w/ 4 cups and if it gets too dry I just add more while cooking.) Add 2 bay leaves, 2 garlic cloves,…

  • This is so what I needed to hear!!! I've been so discouraged because I started working out and eating good consistently 2 weeks ago and have gained 2 pounds. I was so worried I wasn't taking in the right amount of calories or was doing something wrong. This makes sense. Thank you for posting! Seriously, you have no idea…
