I'm Dee...I live in England, I am the biggest 49er fan in the Universe, and I just ran a marathon going from no running experience to 26.2 miles ..love c25k and the year flew by.

Congrats!! If you havn't already, get fitted for the right running shoes from a proper running store, and find a decent half marathon training plan.. good luck in your training and have an awesome race!

went from 260 lbs and never ran in my life to running a nd finishing a marathon ( 4 hrs 5 mins, go ME!)and 165 lbs inside of a year... with osteoarthritis in both hips!

I look at your posts and see nothing but inspiration..I'd love to achieve half the things you have!! And when i first hit my goal, i stopped logging and guess what happened? Yep...I gained just like that!! A goal weight should be a part of the journey..I am thinking of the next thing to strive towards...most likely a fall…

I'd have to agree..even when I did c25k a year ago, I never ' fuelled' especially for the run I was about to do. Try slowing down a little and/or incorporating some walking breaks and build your endurance. By all means when you start running longer distances and longer times, look to fine tune how to fuel specifically for…

total BS. what if you don't want to sprint??? Long Distance Running helped me lose over 50 lbs, I'm leaner than I have ever been..including when i played college football.

You will get out of it exactly what you put into it....you have to really WANT IT. Once you have decided you want it, then you have to BRING it..every damned day and be prepared for the most awesome experience of your life.

Nike. I started c25k in nikes, I trained a whole year to run a marathon in nikes..yeah they sponsored me, but I'd pay double for how awesome they are...and how well they worked for me.

I just ordered the first one on DVD and it brought tears to my eyes that I am in that ''club''...It will never ever be screened or shown in the UK so I'll wait for the DVD release for the second movie..I can't wait to see it.
