I'd say you don't need to do another 20 miler...3 under your belt is enough. I'd just rest until race day or do the tapering runs ( which are important), but I think it's better to arrive healthy at the start line rather than injured. It also depends if you are running for a competitive time/placing. If you are a first…

I'd say go see an osteopath, and refrain from running during any treatment he/she may give you. In fact, refrain from running, full stop until you 'feel' better. I'd rather arrive at the start of a marathon under trained than injured...I suffered a hip injury 4 weeks before my marathon and pretty much rested until the…

Ignore this poster. he clearly knows nothing about c25k. It's helped countless people go from no running to long, long distances. EVERY c25k programme encourages repeating any part of the module if you need to repeat. It is not the fault of the programme if people do not listen to their bodies. It IS a walking/running…

I was going to get my marathon time and date on my arm but it would look like I was a prisoner of war. so..no tats.

In the same way that people say you are an imbecile like the ones who say you should eat bacon every single meal? or is that where the blurred lines between pretentiousness and moronic become more defined?
-
people on this thread have made it very obvious they believe those who are eating meals made out of fresh ingredients are pretentious.
-
seriously? all this butthurt because people want to eat meals made with fresh ingredients instead of pre made stuff?? wow.

I'm a guy, I struggled with the gym too. In fact, i hate those places. There's a gym outside my front door where nobody gawps at a mirror for 20 minutes and as many miles of road as I could ever wish to run.

if im hungry, i eat. and 1,200 calories is probably less than a kid in Ethiopia would eat...try eating more.

sugar isn't toxic for our bodies. anything in excess is harmful. if sugar was toxic to our bodies, then we could die from eating a banana or even oatmeal.

people still see portion management as a purge or punishment...I believe you should eat if you are hungry, splurge if you feel like it. life is short, enjoy your relationship with food, don't let food control you.

Hi..I have been vegetarian my entire life, never tasted meat and ballooned to 270lbs, but now at my goal weight. I keep an open diary and welcome all vegetarian friends. Any fellow vegetarians please feel free to add me.

Maintain my 'new' weight, which i have done for the past 18 months or so. As for rewards, i treated myself to becoming a marathon runner.

The hardest part about controlled weight loss is managing your relationship with food. I ordered the "Dukan Diet" from amazon and immediately tossed it in the bin ( I couldn't with a good conscience donate this nonsense to a friend or a library) when in the opening paragraph the author decided vegetarians are an abnormal…
