My favorite breakfast right now is 1 cup of fruit (varies depending on what looks good) and 1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese. I top it with some salsa, I know that sound weird, but I love it. It's less than 200 calories and sticks with me.

This sounds wonderful! I'm trying to figure out how to oragami this braid into the shape of a cross for Easter morning!

Well you have to rinse them very well and then dry them. When you open the package, dump them into a colander and rinse them until you think you're done, then rinse them some more. Then after they stop dripping I just dump them onto a clean dish towel and blot them dry. At this point you can microwave them for 1 minute and…

I was so sad when this went off the air. Saturday night television hasn't been any good since then.

Grill some jumbo shrimp and serve it with Frank's red hot sauce. It's a very healthy alternative to hot wings, but it comes of as gourmet rather than lite.

I started doing this about a month ago, and it is a blast. My commute is about 17 each way. It's easier to get to work as it is generally downhill with only one character building hill going to work, but it's much harder going home, but that's okay as I can shower there. Right now I try to do it twice a week, but am trying…

I think this is correct. If I skip breakfast or eat a breakfast that's mostly carbs, I have much more trouble sticking to my food plan for the day than if I eat a larger protein based breakfast.

Maybe you should also get some padded cycle gloves to remind you to keep your hands on the handlebars. Also will make your hands more comfortable. Any bike shop or large sporting goods shop will have them.

Yes this works, but you have to be honest, and at times that's painful. Log everything, you will find that you learn more from logging the things you do wrong than by logging the things you do right. Welcome and good luck!

Go buy or borrow a bicycle and get outside. You can't assume that posture if you're really riding and steering. If you like to peddle that much you'll have a blast. It will change your life. How far is it to the gym? You could ride there, work out and ride home. Find some pretty places to go riding near you. You will have…

I would set a time and count everything after that time as on the next day. Midnight is good or maybe the time you usually go to bed. I would also imagine that you would need healthy snacky things since you'll obviously get hungry, but it will be odd to eat an entire meal in the middle of the night. I think I'd take some…

I also have a sweet trigger. It's almost like an alcoholic, if I eat one cookie, candy piece of cake, etc. I find it almost impossible to stop. I simply can't have that first bite unless it's in a very controlled environment. This will sound really strange, but I find that when I'm craving something sweet, if I eat a dill…

I think this is the best as well.

Are the calories quoted as served, or with the modifications you've recommended?

I'm working on improving my health overall. I find it very difficult to stay within my recommended calories consistently without having the exercise calories to add back in. I'll do well for a few days and then have a cheat day because I want to participate in a dinner party or something. I find that using the exercise I…

Cereal, I still get the milk right, because it goes with it.

That's perfect! it's just committing to make some sort of sacrifice in preparation for Easter to be mindful of the sacrifice Christ made for us. I made an exercise committment as well.
-
I firmed up my plans: I am going to give up being sedentary, (exercise for 30 minutes a day). Eating while standing up. Eating in my car. The last two are going to be a bigger sacrifice than it would seem.
-
What a great idea!

I'm in 225 as of this morning. Looking forward to a glorious Easter. I'm giving up being sedentatry for lent. At least 30 minutes of exercise daily. Are we going to check in somehow during our Lenten journey?
-
Miss a meal... that's funny, I'm 51 years old and I have to say that's yet to happen, but I'll let you know if it ever does.
-
Being sedentary, I am going to exercise for at least 30 minutes per day during lent. I might want to think about swearing too, as when I read this thread I thought "Oh Sxxx! that's this Wednesday"! Does it count if you don't say it aloud?

If you're like me, you'll be energized!!!! I also find that there are few time conflicts that time of the morning. When I used to work out in the evening, stuff would come up. That's not the case at 6 am. Try it once and see how you feel, to quote John Beluchi "it don't cost nothin'!"

Well I didn't meet my goal of 4 miles in February, so I am going to set the same goal for March.

Break through my plateau and lose 5 pounds. Finish couch to 5k.

There isn't any reason to feel guilty. Which is a more loving act, making love only when you feel like it, or making love sometimes simply because your partner would like it? I would bet that often even though you didn't feel like it beforehand, after the fact you had a good time and were glad you did.
